We got on the topic of Fender Telecasters at work, and I brought up a couple examples of favorite licks. Straight to youtube on the phones, and I was disappointed by the sound of The Beatles Abbey Road, everything is from the 2009 remix. That's not how I remember it, wore out a cassette tape of the Apple version in high school. Dug through my CD's, and yep, found a copy from 1994 that mirrored the old Apple pressing. There was George Harrison playing that Rosewood Tele on You Never Give Me Your Money, She Came In Through The Bathroom Window, and Maxwell Silverhammer in all his Beatles glory. Some things just don't need updating.

That is just it...I love to help folks solve problems as such and in his case he can not currently reinstall (bad disk)...I have taken Cod2 and Cod4 apart enough to know what is and ain't there but not so much with Cod5...Thank you for checking on this yourself because that is awesome and makes it all the more worth the effort when others can give input and help solve the issue...A main reason why I love this family... I had some of the same problem a few times . i try to log on it say unable to connect a bit , then i go online . and my profile is resetted like at beginning at rank 1. i didnt loose any of the mods and maps only my profile resetted at 1. After doing all the rank up by playing couple of times i checked how and what to save to keep a profile back-up in case . i did have a profile back-up on my HDD so i can copy the 2 configs and map files on my local activision profile.

He is not using a Steam version at this time...I am not sure about the mpdata file though so might need it...Looks like the mpdata file stores your rank - I googled it Thank you for your help as im not a Cod5 guy...I do have it on my gaming rig which is still put up lol

Loader, here's a copy of my config. Note that there are binds in it for demo recording which use the F11 key. I don't use steam much for anything so not sure what's all different but also in the CD version game, there is also a mpdata file in the player profile folder but not sure if the steam version uses this. Loader may also be a bad optic reader too or disk film is damaged (top half of CD/DVD ROM like labob say but need to have show all files on folder in C:\Users\yourlogin\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW

@loaderXI You should be fine creating a new profile in MP I just tried it out. The active.txt file is going to be the last profile you use. It changes everytime you change your profile choice. All the files inside your profile should be made from the game. I would try deleting all the profiles and start from sctrach. I at this time always like to remind people that a good fix is deleteing teh whole game and reinstalling. Say total time 1 hour to do. If your spending more than an hour to fix a problem well I hope it because ya love fixing the problem. ( going th elong route is how I figured out a lot about the files in WAW can be fun )

the profile backup file is in your computer got to enable to see hidden files. then go in user/appdata/local/activision/codwaw/players/profile/

maybe compare folders with someone,,,I can get into TS and go over what I have

Same here when was working everyone wanted to do the holiday shifts it was payed tripple time. so the guy worked his holiday then a took a day off in the week when its payed regular rate.

I agree. I do not mind other bands doing remakes of other people music so long as it's not a copy. But when the original band gets it right...... why redo it because you have fancy new euipment

Do you still have the card? You could try the trusty old oven method to resurrect it. https://lifehacker.com/save-a-dying-video-card-with-a-quick-bake-in-the-oven-5823227 It does sometimes work! Resets the solder. I kept an old card going years ago for 6-9 months doing this. Baked it 3 or 4 times lol.

The Master Server is tech not supported any longer so it works sometimes....Many of us use HLSW and you can download it from the website here or google it hlsw.org ....If you need any help in setting it up let me know...Do not register it or login...All you do is "always" login off line...If your games are steam versions you will need to copy your steam.dll file and drop it in your HLSW folder (C:\Program Files (x86)HLSW)

Mekketom Sharpe is correct just remove plastic set-up tray as link suggests and pre-heat oven bake (depends on oven) x mins turn off oven and let cool on own before remove from oven
