They Say Canadians Don't Brag.....
So,
What do we Canadians
Have to be Proud of?
1. Smarties (not sold in the USA )

2. Crispy Crunch, Coffee Crisp
(not sold in the USA )

3. The size of our footballs fields, one less down, and bigger balls.

4. Baseball is Canadian - 1st game
June 4, 1838 - Ingersoll, ON

5. Lacrosse is Canadian

6. Hockey is Canadian

7. Basketball is Canadian

8. Apple pie is Canadian

9. Mr. Dress-up beats Mr. Rogers

10. Tim Horton’s beats Dunkin' Donuts

11. In the war of 1812, started by America ,
Canadians pushed the Americans back past their White House.
Then we burned it, and most of Washington...
We got bored because they ran away.
Then, we came home and partied....
Go figure.

12. Canada has the largest French population that never surrendered to Germany..

13. We have the largest English populationthat never Ever surrendered
or withdrew during any war to anyone, anywhere. EVER!
(We got clobbered in the odd battle but prevailed in ALL the wars)

14.. Our civil war was fought in a bar and
lasted a little over an hour.

15. The only person who was arrested
in our civil war was an American mercenary,
he slept in and missed the whole thing.
He showed up just in time to get caught.

16. A Canadian invented Standard Time.

17. The Hudson Bay Company once owned over 10%
of the earth's surface and is still
around as the world's oldest company.

18. The average dog sled team can kill and
devour a full grown human in under 3 minutes.

(That's more information than I need!)

19.. We know what to do with the parts
of a buffalo.

20.. We don't marry our kin-folk...

21. We invented ski-doos, jet-skis, velcro,
zippers, insulin, penicillin and the telephone.
Also short wave radios which
save countless lives each year.

22.. We have ALL frozen our tongues to
something metal and lived to tell about it.

23. A Canadian invented Superman.

24. We have coloured money.

25. Our beer advertisements kick ass
(Incidentally ... so does our beer)
BUT MOST IMPORTANT !

The handles on our beer cases are big enough
to fit your hands in with mitts on.

OOOhhhh....Canada !!!
Oh yeah... And our elections only take one day!

Funny shit, If you want to beleive half of that. I eat Smarties all the time, so I know it all can't be true. You can have Lady Gaga.

We have to spend our money protecting you guys. We have the strongest armed forces in the world. We have to protect half the damn world. So many countries don't have to spend as much and can drink beer and party. We still have our capitol, it ain't going anywhere. I know you have good armed forces and you should be proud of it. But if war broke out between us it would be over by noon. Especially if you count the French people in your army. Without them it might last until dark.

You guys never had to fight for your country like we did. We had the balls to make our own country.

I guess I am part Canadian, if there is such a thing. Like Americans, we are a melting pot of different nationalities. There is no true Candaian or American blood unless you are Native American. I have never heard of Native Canadians. HaHa

My Great Great Grandfather was Canadian, as was his son. Tough motherfuckers back in the 1800's. But he got your damn mail through.

All in all we have our differences, but we are more similar than different. Just have to fuck with you a little, no harm intended, all in fun.

Ph4ntom you are right about Velcro .Swiss electrical engineer George de Mestral. He patented it in 1955.[5] He submitted his idea for patent in Switzerland in 1951 and the patent was granted in 1955.[2] Within a few years he obtained patents and began to open shops in Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Canada

Someone sent me those facts and I thought they were interesting plus yesterday was a Canadian Holiday.

Shortwave radio looks like these 3 guys Heinrich Hertz discovered sending and receiving radio waves. BuildinHeinrich Hertz discovered sending and receiving radio waves. Building upon Hertz's experiments, Guglielmo Marconi sent his first radio transmissions in 1896. Marconi continued his work and sent out the first short wave transmission in 1922.

JAH
velcro: no, radio: no, basketball: no, penicillin:no, telephone: no. cant be bothered checkin the others. i like u tho.

I believe he was referring to Insulin, credited to London Ontario native Frederick Banting (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_Banting). We can split basketball. James Nasmith, a Canadian was working at what's nowSpringfield College in Massachusetts. Alexander Graham Bell, an American, spent much of his life working in Canada in the resort town of Baddeck on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, close to where I grew up. He developed the telephone (and the hydrofoil and many other things) there.

Another thing invented by a Canadian was the CCD chip, co-developed by Nobel Prize winner and fellow Nova Scotian Willard Boyle, who passed away 2 weeks ago.

As for radio, the first trans-Atlantic transmission of a message was performed by Italian Guglielmo Marconi from a transmission station in Glace Bay, also on Cape Breton Island

I can remember all that shit, but do you think I can find my darned car keys and wallet in the morning???
