Trust me it will be worth it. And the reason it was said...................... My daughter was in that truck when it rolled over. She was on the passengers side. Other than being banged up and bruised she is fine. The 16 year old driving did not fare as well. He has a possible broken back and underwent emergency surgery last nite. My thoughts and prayers to both young people involved.... Same here! Have one 17 yr old son been driving a year and another just starting drivers ed. Hope these kids are okay - many with less damage every day aren't so "lucky". I show my sons these incidents every time and remnd them they and others are in a 2 ton bullet that could hit something at any second. Eyes on the road, hands on the wheel, abide by the rules of the road and repect the danger!! Sadly many adults don't even follow this. Accidents are going to happen, but you must reduce the chances! Prayers for everyone involved. Glad your daughter escaped serious injury. How's the boy doing now? My daughter just kind of stopped doing driver's ed about half way through her behind-the-wheel. Not sure why, and she says she really doesn't know. But that's no consolation when she's riding around in other people's cars. I grew up in a fairly small town of only about 16,000. It was easy for me to get LOTS of idol cruising time which I think really prepared me for much bigger city driving. We live in a larger city now, so my daughter gets a trial by fire every time she gets behind the wheel. I think there's WAY more to worry about today with the distractions of cell phones and the sheer volume of traffic these days. Hope every one there recovers well. Cody was able to move his legs today. They allowed my daughter in to see him. Here's a picture of them. He's sore as hell after laying on a backboard for 12 hours. Looks like he's gonna be OK.
