The RC and air attacks are about the best I can do. COD4 does have all the usual vehicle functions but did not make them available to multiplayer. It really would have made things easier if they did. The RC itself would have been a vehicle.

 

I am testing out a defroster sentry however. It is not a new function on the sentrygun but its own weapon. So it cant defend itself but lots of armor. It still has a ways to go because for some reason it shot through the bus on Bog. When its ready it will be uploaded to one of the other servers for testing.

The RC cars seem really weak.It seems like 1 bullet blows it up if it's shot from the side or behind.

 

The Duke Nukem Mini Gun is funny as heck but it's really really hard to hit anything with it unless your in knifing range.Seems like the bullets cone out drastically after 8-10 yards.

Actually Duke is pretty accurate both hip fire and ads at mid ranges. He has hip fire as a perk. But this server, I think, doesnt have reticles enabled for anything. So that makes a difference. ADS is a bit like stationary turrets. Its not truly at the center but below it. Like everything else it takes practice.

 

Edit: I dont know what Rugger has the RC armor set at but it is a 3-kill streak after all. And you are shooting a fast tiny car with a pack of C4 strapped to it.

I think the player think that because they have the Duke you are invincible but that's not true .. You just need to be more stealthy and not get shot the gun is awesum good job Sammy

Not specifically about this mod but while we have you on this thread @Sammy is there any way to get rid of the delay between when you spawn and when your weapon can be used? Its a real bitch when your spawn is overrun and you end up getting shot because you run out of protection but have that delay and can be seen but cant fire first. Just wondering, cheers! :cool:

In this particular mod it is worth it to set up one class with an smg of your choice, lightweight, s&g, 3X semtex and a smoke. Also the RC. If they are all spawn trapping you then it is often possible between the nades and your gun to get 3 kills. Find a place for some cover and spam them. Then use the RC to defrost three or four guys. I see that happen all the time and a team that only has one player left comes back and wins. Every one you get has to be defrosted first, requiring attention from his teammates especially if they have to move to do it, and when finished he starts back at his own spawn.

 

Others have asked for what you propose and I have politely said no. Otherwise spawn protection is used as a means to sneak up on opponents or stand in the open. Then to get a shot off the moment spawn protection runs out before he even knows you are there to defend himself. So I added s&g and the RC defrost ability. Spawn protection, as the name implies, is supposed to be totally defensive and allow you to leave the area to find cover. When it runs out if you are out in the open still you would likely be running anyways and your weapon lowered.

turned into a car next to 2 frozen enemies, but i was trapped, so i tried to blow up the car and got the jammer icon.....I know there were no living enemy near me

When i aim i can not get a hit, i have the hit next to the enemies, not sure if people already post about it. There are a  lot more i hear complaining about the guns not hitting there where we aim them at. Talking about ACR RPD and M4 and one more i tried.

Yeah, it was hilarious. Every time LOCO died he got a new sentry gun without getting another 6 kills to get one. It was fun to watch but not fun for the other team. 

 

Oh, and I already suspect people to complain about my shotgun (SPAS-12). NOTHING is wrong with it. People just get upset that when I have the grip on, I get a little more range. It is the same as it was before the new mod. People just want to drive me into the ground. It does not need to be nerfed. It already takes forever to reload and the rate of fire is really slow. I know how to weapon switch quickly to fire faster, or use Double Tap, though. If anything, I am at a disadvantage. I run around exposed to long range fire like an idiot. I don't complain when I am shot from afar, but everyone complains that I can shoot 10 yards ahead of me AT BEST. With the new Body Armor, unless I use Stopping Power AND my grip, it is no longer a one-shot kill with the Stealth perk I normally use. Everyone needs to calm down.

 

Actually when I mentioned the shotty's range to Rugger I was recalling a comment someone made when this new mod was deployed the first time. It was not particular to your game play. I think whatever it was its not there anymore, I tested the shotty afterwards myself and its normal. Sorry if it made you feel the need to be defensive, that was not my intention. You kick ass, with the shotty man, haters gonna hate!

I agree I shot 4 bursts at the head of an enemy not too far away and nothing happened. It was the airport map, and he was behind the counter. Another guy was running past him and I shot in front of him to hit him. I was using the ACR, then I tried the AK47 which has more recoil but similar effect on target. 

 

@Sammy, I understand there is more sway with the ACR but are the hit markers obtuse?

Maybe...just maybe, you guys need to get used to the sway again? It's not just a matter of getting the red dot on the target, it is realizing where the center of the sway is! Plus the steyrn aug seems to now beat the other guns, as it was before this version of the MOD was released (that is if I recall correctly).

Just to add about the older ACR, which I have said several times. It was balanced as an M16 replacement. Meaning little to no sway. Hyper accurate. And most important as a 3-burst weapon. Which is why it got the nickname as a 'laser beam'. Change that to full auto with no others and it by definition becomes unbalanced. Two options. Keep it as a 3 shot. Or add some sway.
