Lol suppose we can forgive you since the mod is pretty awesome.

Does that mean if you retrieve but don't deploy the sentry gun you can carry it over to the next round?

Well, so good so far... totally lovin' it except for 2 things:
First, could be a general thing no clue if it's even discuss-able.. Being redirected in the middle of the game... quite annoying sometimes specially if you're having a good score or so.
Second, An issue happened to me today that I called Care Package... but it accidently dropped on the top of a building... it was unreachable.. so if we could just remotely open it without the need of being so close to it(tried Pressing F or even 6 no use xd)
Also, Guess carepackage should not be shared within players.. seen that it causes some problems sometimes.. people would just blindly go and take it.. which is quite annoying..

Other than that It's awesome!

Helicopters and the AC130 will drop close to your marker but not exactly on top of it. So it is best to have a decent amount of room around it. Unfortunately I cant add physics to them.  MW2/3 uses tricks that involves building special brushes into the maps that are used for collision. When needed it grabs one, or maybe clones it, and uses it for the drop and also for player collision. Maybe they changed that with Ghost tho.

That sounds like a bug. I made a small change that was meant to allow players to keep secured but undeployed sentries in between rounds. It does not include care packages that were not secured yet so the marker when used is lost. Sounds like if you secured it but have not yet deployed it, are frozen, and it is dropped where frozen you get another when unfrozen. Is this right? If so that means I forgot something in the drop sentry on death code. Not a good thing and can be exploited. :lol:

Wow. Actually that is good from a developer point of view. Knowing that there are 20 going all at once without problems makes me happy. :lol:

 

But in all seriousness, I uploaded a fixed sentrygun file to Rugger and when he puts it on and restarts the server all should be good.

For people that this is happening too, can you remember anything the round this happened in that you did that you didn't do the previous rounds. Like use a certain killstreak, or get a kill in a different way they other rounds? Anything you can come up with would be a great help

I had something strange happen yesterday. I got killed as I was crawling under a hole in a wall. Instantly, the screen froze....my mini map chsnged to a weird look with huge snowflakes everywhere. I could still hear everyone in chat...but my screen stayed frozen with the strange looking mini map until I was defrosted...then everything went back to normal. Not sure if it is anything that you need to deal with...just thought I would share, since it had never happened to me before.

 

Also, I did notice CI between every round yesterday....and I also seemed to get one frequently when I would throw an EMP grenade....but it wasn't every time.

ACR has a little bit of sway but not alot. Last time it had none at all which made it too easy for long distance shots. In certain parlance it would be considered a noob gun.

 

The weird look with snowflakes sounds like counter-uav.

The sentry gun bug is pretty funny indeed.

I had a sentry nade, deployed it, I died and the thing got destroyed. After that, boom another sentry gun. Love it.

Unfortunately lower scale testing outside of a large game cannot find everything and there are always little things that nobody thinks about. In this case its a direct result of adding the round carry-over code so people dont lose undeployed sentryguns. But considering its free.... unlike the buggy as hell BF4.... the sentrygun bug is more funny than annoying. Besides if the other team has 10 deployed there is an easy way to beat all of them with stealth. I suppose the bug shows how useful it can be.

 

Anyways, the round carryover for undeployed sentry nades and sam launchers seemed to be missing so I will be uploading fixes to Rugger today or tomorrow.

I actually like the mod now kudos to the makers and who worked on it!

One thing I was wondering is there anyway we can make so we can take prisoners?

And can we turn up the power or distance on the p90? I miss my p90.....

VIP...use the Hunter Perk...make sure that you set key binds for "Zoom In" and "Zoom Out". Also set a key bind for "Thermal".

Personally I like the no-sway sniper rifles because the regular ones have always been a little buggy. But the no-sway ones are too easy to use. To compensate the best solution is to reduce damage (which is 70 points for all of them stock) dramatically for HC and also possibly some hit location modifiers. Its pretty silly to kill other players by shooting them in the foot. So it becomes a choice. Do people want to deal with the sway or accept a less powerful weapon. Cant have both.

Well the point of a sniper rifle is accuracy over long range. With the sway it takes away just that. So if it needs a headshot/upper torso hit to kill, so be it imho.

Just my pennyworth as an avid COD 5 player....I think this mod is bloody fantastic....sweet one SAMMY its now almost as good as VTFAG...almost...

My only gripe and concern is 30+ players on one map is in my humble opinion far to many for the mainly small maps.....when I have played it can take so damn long for one team to finish the other and staying frozen for a LONG time is totally boring......

Apart from that it is without doubt our best mod YET....and when not on VFTAG I will certainly now be drawn to playing this server.....
