yeah I run the 460 and the last few updates have screwed me pretty good, I can't remember which one I rolled back to last but things still are not right!

I use dual monitors and they freeze up from time to time and force me to do a shut down by button lol. Pisses me off!

Nvidia has put out great chip sets and drivers for years. A bad release now and then doesn't make a company.

Dont update if youre not having issues.. I have GTX 760 and have never had an issue. I get update notifications now and then but I always click the "HELL NO I WONT INSTALL" button.

My dad always taught me "why fix what isnt broken"

well today I did a crap load of updates as well as my video card, I was gonna step back to the one Cobra mentioned but thought wth why not..... I had 27 driver updates and five of them were nvidia, so I did them all, however I chose not to install the 3D and HD Audio & do a clean install......

So far everything is working GREAT, I got the 332.21 I think it was and not a single freeze up yet WOOT!

Always update to the latest edition, even if you are not having problem, despite recommendations to the contrary here (but NEVER a beta unless you live on the bleeding-edge.)  Keep the previous version that you have in case something goes wrong.  However, the VAST majority will have no issues, and remember to always perform a CLEAN INSTALL.  Nvidia updates their drivers to improve performance with current games, and even to enhance existing games as more becomes known about them.  I think it laughable the Radeon vs. Nvidia debate.  Personally, I've always found Radeon drivers a sucky mess to deal with and always problematic to install.  They work, eventually, but it just goes to show that there are problems on both sides of the isle, so slinging mud across the isle rarely does any good.

Nope. Nopenopenope. What Djmot said. 1000%. Running 2x EVGA 680's. Latest driver is smooth and seems to have fixed a bug that previously caused a zoomed-in scope to be jerky and unusable when running 2 cards in SLI (and from anecdotal accounts, some single cards as well too). Same idea with Windows/Linux/OS X patches: install them because they've invested a bunch of resources to fix and improve things.
