I think there may be a few who use this stuff so have a read.

It isn't all bad news.  Those who survive this drug may end up with low IQs

or psychotic...

I dont believe that shit. Ever since the USA legalized marijuana in a few states all these BS sites are appearing with bogus reports of death due to Marijuana overdose. Until i see an actual reputable News caster or Media broadcaster like BBC, NBC, CBS, CTV, CBC report death due to Marijuana, i will not believe that crap..

it has been tested and proven that in order to overdose a person would have to smoke over 10 pounds of very high thc content weed in a 24 hr period.  which is basically improbable that someone would have enough time in the day to consume that much.  these stories are bogus and just trying to scare people.  this is no different than reefer madness that was released to scare children away from cannabis

That might be true.. but it's not enough evidence to turn over the current statistics

Deaths in the USA per year...

-------------------------------------------

600,000     cigarettes. (mostly lunge/gum cancer and heart defects)

70,000       alcohol overdose / poisoning

40,000       suicide

3,000          motor vehicle accidents

500 (world) death from unprovoked shark attack

First cannabis related death ever recorded?

.... small potatoes ...

I read this yesterday and it just means that you have to make sure you know the source you buy it from as well as the growers! It's up to the states to monitor the stuff as it is still illegal with the federal govnt. If and when other states make it legal until the feds do it by default then that will all change. My source has an exceptional reputation and provides only the highest quality product! Just be very careful when you buy!

I like this part of the report

Two of the deaths could not be attributed to anything but cannabis intoxication. Both were men who died of cardiac arrhythmia – when the heart beats too quickly or slowly. The team surmises that this was triggered by smoking cannabis. Both men had enough THC – an active chemical in cannabis – in their blood to suggest they had taken cannabis within hours of death. Neither had a history of cardiovascular problems or channelopathies – diseases that increase the risk of heart problems by affecting ion channels. "We did every test we could," says Hartung.

Perhaps our dear Hartung was sipping a tad bit of the wine during his study and his reporting

Fack me and the wankers got paid to surmise

and if you read down they say  they dont know how it caused an arrhythmia but it had to be the cannabis

"It is not clear how cannabis could trigger arrhythmias. There might be unknown channelopathies that increase the risk of cardiac conditions triggered by the drug, says Hartung."

the fact is they have no idea what caused his death, so it has to be some unknown chemical in cannabis that did it. id say they are grabbing at imaginary unknown straws

If anyone will do a study or research on how many people die during sex it would out number many things

This part of the article sums it up for me,

"Several studies show a link between cannabis use and an increased risk of schizophrenia, depression and a lowering of IQ. However, many of these studies remain contentious.

Just another ridiculous write up by wannabe scientists.

I did research before. It would take 1500lbs of weed eaten to kill a human.

I am pretty sure you would die way before the first 100lbs from over eating.

I was researching this because of Dogs. Weed can mess up or kill a dog. Seizures and other problems can occur.

So we really can't say weed is not harmful can we? So keep you shit away from your dogs. :)

Youre right, to a point. Our national Media outlets would maybe alter the news slightly but I highly doubt they would stake there reputations on a completely fabricated story such as death due to Marijuana overdose. Reputation means big $$$$$$ in the Media world, cant see them slicing there own throats with a story that is strictly lies. With no evidence to support the claim..  :rtfm:  :)
