That 24% of new patients' illness is confirmed as linked to cannabis abuse is a serious issue, for the UK at least. You'll see that the report highlights "skunk" as the culprit. I know posting this is unlikely to dissuade those who already use the stuff from continuing to do so but, if it makes just one impressionable young person pause to think before starting, it'd have achieved something. Be careful with your mental health - a broken mind cannot always be cured. You're entitled to your opinion but in the absence of any facts or scientific papers to support it, it remains just that. The fact that, in their determined efforts to get us all to drink less, the authorities do not tout psychosis as a likely outcome, indicates to me that the risk of bringing it on by having a few beers is non-existent. All drugs and alcohol are a trap. Some escape some dont some get destroyed some learn to live with it and all points in between. We are humans...... born with the ability to make our own choices and not stuck with instincts as our only form of living. Right?Wrong? Thats something you decide as an individual based on your influences whether muddied by drugs, alcohol or other humans. They are all inevitably going to influence you if you use or don't use........and now my past indulgences have influenced this rambling POS post cuz I cannot for the life of me remember where the fuck I was going with this..............Some doors are best not opened! He was put in a mental institution for 6 months or so. It wasn't the first time he had smoked, as many of us had gathered on occasion to get high. He will be on antipsychotic medication for the rest of his life I do believe weed is safer then alcohol....however it's best to do neither IMO. If I had not smoked it when I did (like a Navajo)(nickname was Chong) I would be dead as a result of a misdiagnosed depressed skull fracture.. My Neurosurgeon could not believe I was able to stay alive and asked how I managed.. Well told him I smoked weed and he said if I had not I would have been dead... I went 4 weeks with out any proper treament from the hospital or my family Dr. of 8 years I had 2 crainiotomies and am now the proud owner of a plastic skull..
