I have got it , It comes up when the server gets busy , Like I said a few times Evolve isn't bad , But the pay thing won't fly  with me , And you can't change your username plus it's just to dam big compared to the others, Now from what I here they working on a completely new new one, which looks good..

Okay, well for me this is kind of a deal breaker.  Bottom line here is that, if they pop the "subscribe" thing whenever the server gets "busy" then that's their money maker right there.  They are holding a reliable connection hostage for a subscription fee. 

 

I guess I stand by my recommendation for TS as a replacement since it really isn't a replacement at all.  We use it for lots of other games and voice chatting.  It does text messaging just fine.  And apparently it has a mobile client, @@hxtr, so there you go.

Yeah, and I think it's at least in late beta at this point.  I'd go ahead and start using it.  I don't think there's any major pot-holes in it at this point, is there, @@Sitting-Duc, or @@Tim?

I have the Mobil app for my Phone for TS but it is not an app you are going to want to run all the time. But it works great.

rptr is not really stable at all and cause more problems than xfire with some games.

evolve is smooth but the only thing is that they have a paid version and they try to promote it, honestly i dont see this as a problem.

the screen where they say its we have to wait coz we arent premium members, i had it 2 times in 2 weeks, and it last like 1 minute, not more.

 

maybe if there is no other options, we could ask them for like a clan subscribtion or something for members, i dunno, maybe they will have something like that soon.

i find it really smooth app to use, not sure how the future version will be.

Evolve gives out advertisements sometimes for free version. You can hear them too. Plus that server busy thing is still happening. Uninstalled it.

 

My clan is sticking to steam and website for now.

 

Though Razer Comms might still be an option down the road.

Doesn't seem to be a solid front runner pick.  Hold your noise and vote for the lesser of the three evils?

i do not see the adds, i placed the window down on the right side of my desktop and the adds are hidden behind the taskbar. -> advertising banner problem solved.

btw on xfire we also had those pesky advertising and u couldnt hide it unless u use a theme with no adds ^^

 

the server busy thing for my part i only had it 2 times and it lasted for 1 or 2 minutes max.

i understand this can be a problem and can piss some people off.

My biggest thing is that I see no point in adding yet another communication program to our arsenal when we have TS already as a requirement and it already does voice and text.  Xfire shutting down did us a favor by eliminating a fairly cantankerous piece of crap that consumed system resources and made lousy videos.  The audio was inevitably out of sync the deeper into a xfire video you got.  I had to say yes to a UAC message whenever it started, too, (for no real apparent reason, I might add) so that was just another pain in the ass about it.  I'd really hate to see us swap one set of problems for another set of problems with yet another program.  Just MHO.

Problem with a clan subscription for members is that it needs to be usable and accessible by guests as well.  Whatever is chosen needs to be open for all without a paid subscription.

I would prefer something that is text only so that when I'm in game someone can get ahold of me. I can't stand the talking in teamspeak while gaming......imo

i agree with GG, i need smth that makes me able to contact an admin without leavin the game and i am not much in TS cause its just confusing me with all the voices and ppl talk about other stuff than the game plus i dont understand anything then, cause my english is not as good like the written words when i need to listen to so many ppl talking.

 

I dont wanna loose my points every time i have to leave cause i need an admin for kicking or watching someone.

If u dont care about point, u r lucky, but i do and many others too. So TS is never an option for me.

 

If u would have read the other opinions u would see why there is the need of another communication system.
