Being switched....

Ok, so I understand about removing a player to make room for a member but at least warn a person before doing it.

 

For 2 days in a row I was switched to an EMPTY server without any warning.

 

I do NOT want to go another server especially a fricken empty one.

 

Let me know that a member is wanting to come in and I will leave. I typed that into the game chat last night.

 

Is this too much to ask??

I don't have a problem with it.  It's even stated that you might be kicked to make room for a clan member.

I usually quit just the game and go play on another XI server until things clear up a little.

There is plenty of fun times to have on another XI server IMHO

If you don't want to be switched come over the Battlefield 4 servers....we love visitors!

@@Angelz - I believe it is an auto system and therefore a warning is hard to implement. If it was an admin making room for a member then you would be kicked not redirected.

 

@@TheDrimpXI - Members should not be redirected - I would check your tags are correct in-game.

Is there anyway to point the redirect to a populated server?

  

like cod ft1 or ace mod?  seems like it would be better recieved if when you were redirected there was other players there to play with.  coming to an empty server is just heartbreaking....  lol

I would rather get kicked with a message, "You are being kicked to make room for a member."

 

I really do not like the other servers sorry to say.

Maybe if there are so many members playing you could easily divide yourselves into the other servers so that your guests can play with you. Just a suggestion.

 

The main reason gamers populate your servers is one of 2 reasons:

 

They want to join your clan or they want to play against your members (ya know pwn your asses) LOL

There are some limitations of the engine that would prevent that as a reason can only be given if the kick originates from PunkBuster.

 

You don't need to apologise for not liking the other servers - they have less traffic for a reason.

 

We have tried multiple servers but it doesn't seem to work well but thanks for the suggestion. I do disagree with saying they are the only two reasons - many play because they like the mod.

You should be getting a 5 second message at the top middle of the screen before it is done. But once done, on the black screen, there is no message other than you were kicked.

I was meaning the admin to kick with that reason. Maybe turn off the auto redirect.

 

If you have servers that do not produce the traffic maybe replace them with the same mod that everyone likes or make it so more peeps can join, although I think it would be totally insane to add more to the insanity that is already there lol

For FT cant add more because of the various icons needed for frozen players. There is a hard limit of 16 per team. Later games, post cod5, allow lots more for things like care package objectives and jammers.

 

edit: I agree with many of the maps 30 players it too much as it is.

yes if it redirects you to the same modded type of server,,but it send yo to a non mw2 server?? Maybe some of the new servers we have tried and dont really work well for ppl can be made into another mw2 server for redirect. If you stay there for a few minutes others will show up,,,sometimes even members will change servers because they want to shoot or knife certain ppl!!hehehehehe

Drimp, that may be the reason that you, a card-carrying >XI< member, gets re-directed to another >XI< server from time to time; i.e., your ">XI<" tags must not be affixed (installed? inserted?) properly--and I'm only going by how it appears here on the website.

 

I'm not going to mention any names, but one of our newest members actually put the ">XI<" tag in front of his/her name.  When I was looking at scoreboard, I noticed that something didn't look right, so I told him/her that he/she had the tags at the wrong end.  It was summarily fixed.

 

P.S. - See, Sweet Rose, I told you that I wouldn't tell anybody that you had your tags on wrong!!!  Nyah, nyah!!  You owe me something.    Ayaq

Just want to post that last night I went though several days worth of logs to read through the redirect priority checks and everything is working properly. Also, the MW2 server redirect now points to the hardcore mw2 freezetag server.

I just hate when there are a 3 or 4 spectators and I get kicked. Spectators should be the first to go IMO.

Non-clan spectators do get kicked first. Clan spectators do not.

Tends to come up once a month or so. Priority of who gets kicked first: non-clan spectators. Non-clan players. Clan spectators. Clan players. If two players are in the same category then its a matter of total play time on the server.  Two spectating non-clan members etc. The player with more total play time stays. Note that being a spectator does not increase your total play time. Only if you are playing.
