You's probably have those gamemodes already implemented I wouldnt have a fair idea Bring in other gamemodes like Obliteration/Rush into it and try it out for a week and see how it goes. I know most US guys didnt like it in the past but like change is sometimes needed everyonce in a while. Over half the maps in the low player rotation are small DOM maps. If you want your small DOM maps then VOTE! Gun master is a waste and detracts from what most of the players want. That is vehicles. I know you don't like that Damit, but that's the way it is. This isn't softcore and it isn't the EU server. Your experience with gunmaster will happen on rare occasions, but it is far, far from the norm. What happens 99.9% of the time is people leave when gunmaster first makes it's appearance. Those that stick around will leave if it shows again. When we get 8 - 10 players they will leave if no CQ. There is 63 players in the server right now, and if I put a DOM or gunmaster map on they will leave. We have many XI members who will not come in and play if no one is in the server. As soon as a few people join they will come in. We have no, and I mean NO admin coverage. I have been told several times that we have too many. Yet where are they? I haven't seen any recruitment since we have NO coverage. All I have is Lazy House Cat in the evenings and Papi in the morning for an hour or so. That's it. I have said many times add people to your friends list. If people see you they will come in. It really isn't that difficult. Small maps and EU style of play damn near got us shut down last time. The server is a good model, but we need members who will add friends and play in our server when it is low in number and not just when it is full. I know you don't like hardcore Damit and the big maps are not to your liking, but they work. They will work a heck of a lot better if I can get some help. If your not going to play admins, TURN IN YOUR ADMIN TAGS so someone else who wants the job can do it. Bet the EU/UK boys could make another server successful, might as well turn it over to them and you can learn something about map rotation and stuff! Maybe a SR Admin can put it to a vote for us! By the way... being afk and on the server-DOES NOT COUNT AS GETTING THE SERVER GOING! It only makes the already small teams way unbalanced so peeps will leave after a map of playing with 2 afk teammates! So if your not here to play then dont show up at all! One bright spot in this whole rant is Papi...In the last 2 months he has made a great effort to start the server every chance he gets, however he has had little success or help. I wont start the server anymore myself...done that plenty. However I will be a 4th player most times when an admin ( the 1 who is around -Papi) is trying to get it started. Member of lthe month lol... Papi should be awarded member of the month, atleast he is around often. I have not been fair... Yes I got a little heated last night...makes me angry to see our XI server go down in flames. I know your not the only admin, however you are the only one who gives a crap to even respond to this thread...so I directed alot your way. Hence I said turn in admin tags if you dont wish to admin (for all admins eyes not just bf4. Admins are picked based on personality and the fact they play alot. No admins = empty server). Admins will make the difference on weather a server thrives or dies. I am certain we could all come to some agreement on a map list tweek of some kind that would make server traffic better - keep things fresh. There is kinda the makings of a early afternoon/morning club, but some of these peeps( who dont voice their opinion publicly ) are not so happy with rotation either so I see them playing other places. I dont blame them I have been sadly playing other places too. This week even with a year away I will cross the 2,000 +hrs line in bf4, most of them proudly on our XI servers! If we don't have that then we should focus on one server and have it run 24 hours a day. Why have 2 servers if we don't have the players to put in the work to get it started or going. We have tried many things with the US server, we have tried different map rotations, different gametypes, different amount of slots and in the end it always ends up with a server that no one plays on or its very hard to get going. Just maybe we don't have the US support to run a BF server. When BF1 comes out I'm sure it won't be an issue getting a server going but right now just doesn't seem like there is the interest in the US BF side of things. I could be wrong I don't play the game because I suck ass and don't have the time to get good at it, but from what I hear and read, we have tried just about everything to get this server going.
