Two attempts to update it, two total PC lock-ups requiring a hard reset. Third time lucky. Got some odd error message about an "entry point" missing when I tried to run L4D2 but the game started anyway. Had a campaign game and was killed by a Tank. Awards

Go to Options -> Keyboard and mouse -> enable developer console. Go back to main screen and press ` (left of number 1) and in that type "connect 63.251.20.27" and hit enter. I have it set to 20 players. TBH I've never played this game before this so am fairly clueless. It seems to have some sort of vote map option even but I can only figure out how to do it as an admin not a user lol. The plugins for this game are overly complicated to do things IMO. If any of you have ever played with plugins for this or know more let me know or if you see something I need to change. I've went in it alone and got 3 bots and murdered a bunch of things but not sure at what point a map will end and a next load, if more mobs will scale with players or what. It makes me have a whole knew feeling for being an Idiot! Awards

As for plugins, they are client-side. My common infected are Storm Troopers and my survivors are characters from Mass Effect 3, the horde sound being the sound of a Banshee from said game. (fuck those things in ME3). I also have light-sabers because why the fuck not. I think you can have server side plugins. I will jump in tomorrow morning, if you are up for a bit DeeJay. L4D is a pain in the ass to run servers,,I helped a bit on one before and would not do it again..lolol most optional items are client side,,you can have skins and crap like most games no one will see it unless you have it installed,,some can be pushed server side. I have several stickers installed or spray paints and you can spray paint the walls,, i think everyone can see it but i cant remember when i went in to the server it was running a campaign!!! was not survival or anything else...
