Many of you will be aware that, following a cardiac arrest in October 2018, I suffered an acquired brain injury, firstly described as a stroke but, after a formal complaint about my lack of treatment, modified to a hypoxic brain injury. Basically, this means my brain was deprived of oxygen for 15 minutes causing permanent damage. I had to stand down from Admin duties as my perception of reality was different to an uninjured person's and I was prone to seeing things. I was provided with no therapy or rehab to assist me and my online games proved invaluable in measuring how badly I had been affected. I was half as good as I was pre-cardiac arrest but I thought I could improve with further practice. Sadly, this has not been the case and I am just serving as a slow-moving target to my fellow players. Like my daily Scrabble playing online, that I gave up last year, I must step away from the battlefield now and spend my time on more enjoyable and productive pursuits that are less destructive to my battered ego. This understanding has come slowly and only with the help of Headway, The Brain Injury Association of which I am now a "Friend". I would like to thank you all for your friendship and understanding as I have fought this personal battle. However, it is one I cannot win so I must go gracefully. I am not hanging up the tags, having worn them for over a decade - 11 years this month - but you will not be seeing me in the games servers much if at all. Farewell.

I was very saddened after reading how things have got with your health DJ and as others have said and others will say "You are and always will be a Member of XI (The Family)". Regardless of if you play or not just the fact that you are still here and fighting to be able to enjoy your life is a blessing to us all. There are plenty of dumb shits posting here that need you to tell them to bugger off and more. I hope that some how you are able to find peace and happiness with whatever you decide to pursue in place of your gaming but just remember there is nothing but old fucks like me playing on the COD2 servers and we are all just slow moving targets for each other so if you stop by for a game you might just see lots of easy kills. You have no reason to ever drop your TAGS and I give you my word I won't let anyone ever take them away from you if they are stupid enough to try. Many of us have been through too much watching this Clan grow into a huge loving dysfunctional FAMILY and after 11 years of being a great Member, Admin, Gaming Adversary, Mentor and Friend you have earned the right to retire with FULL HONORS. PS Rugger mismanaged the retirement party funds years ago so all you can offer is our Love and Friendship and maybe a few more Medals LOL. Take Care of yourself and hit some of the boys on your side of pond up for the free beers they will be happy to buy you when they can see you. Ok...so I want to know if anyone else has noticed this. It's a phenomenon I call "The Sally Effect" and unfortunately @Sally isn't around to notice it. Whenever @Sally leaves the server, everyone else leaves also. It's like she's the glue that holds the server attendance together. Has anyone ever seen a full server on freeze tag 1 where @Sally wasn't there? Asking for a friend.

Your health and wellness must come first of course DJ but maybe drop by from time to time to say hi. And maybe if the time is right, maybe a game or two. In the mean time, take care and get well.

I was 2 years removed from High School and had my own Apartment with no roommate and a full time job while attending JC and getting laid and going to a shit load of shows in LA in the early 80's so hard to pick from so much awesome music. Mark, Tommy Shaw is still my wife's one freebie if he ever decides to return her calls, emails, letters at his door, cardboard signs at concerts saying "She will do Tommy Shaw" if you get my drift. We saw them about 8 years ago at a winery near our home and when we were coming back from have a smoke I pointed out that from the side of the stage we were extremely close to him and it provided a awesome view. needless to say that spot standing was were I spent the next 45 minutes instead of at out seats dead center but like 10 rows back lol. I think I had to wait until she climaxed when they did Crystal Ball her fav before she was willing to return to our seats and picnic dinner and my weed which was in the side pocket of the soft cooler. I love late 70's and early 80's rock. Been to several shows, But the best I ever seen was Heart, in 2019 (I think) They were absolutely amazing! I drove about 4 hours to see them, and I would do it again 1000 times.

Oh yea 1980 reminds me the end of high school and start of college years,, was mixed between rock and disco music at that time: so my ttop three song's of 1980 were : Funkytown (danced a lot on this song) Lips inc i think was the group.. Call me from Blondie Babe from Styx one of my favorite rock group. Wow nostalgia!!!

Hmm. 1980 itself saw quite a few great lp's released. I'd say Right off the bat .... AC/DC Back in Black. Mutt Lange did a great job on it. Then you had British Steel (Judas Priest), I like Bowies Scary Monsters, but it didn't get very good reviews for some reason. Sabbath reincarnated with Ronnie at the helm (Heaven and Hell). VH Women and Children First !! J. Geils (Love Stinks), Gaucho (Steely Dan), Motorhead "Ace of Spades", The Pretenders, Ozzy (Blizzard), Lenon (double fantasy), Dire Straits (Making Movies). Plus many, many more. 1980 was a good year !! It all went to shit after 1985
