I just wanted to say thanks to Everyone for all the prayers and well wishes for my dad over these last months. To recap Dad is 88 and has been fighting Congestive Heart Failure and Kidney Failure. This past December he started Dialysis which took quite a toll on him. We had a very hard few months trying to stabilize his condition while moving them to a beautiful apartment and trying to get their house cleaned out and ready for sale. Trying to have the parents transition from total independent living to an apartment was a very hard transition for us all. The house as you can imagine was full of 88 years of STUFF. Adding Covid into the mix has been brutal. In March dad's health really deteriorated. He couldn't breath and almost lost consciousness many times. He could not walk 20 feet and could barely get out of his chair. I had to hold him up most times so he wouldn't fall. On Monday the 19th he was fitted with a wearable heart monitor. Tuesday the 20th I picked him up for Dialysis and returned the monitor. Trying to get him to the car he almost passed out twice. I picked him up from dialysis at 6:00 pm, put him in the car, returned the wheel chair. By the time I got back to the car about 30 feet I thought he was dying in front of me. things settled down, he refused to go back in and I took him home. At 8:00 pm His heart specialist read the monitor and I had to bring hi in to the emergency department. Wednesday the 21st he had a dye test, Thursday he had 2 stents put in his heart. Monday he had a combination Defibrillator/pacemaker implanted in his chest. Today he had dialysis and is home. Sometime we criticize our Canadian health care but in our experience have had nothing but spectacular service. Yes we pay high taxes but my family has reaped the benefits of the great work our health system provides. We are so thankful to our medical professionals. Fearing dad would not be with us much longer 2 of my sisters and my Older brother were able to travel home for passionate grounds. My sisters isolated for 14 days at a private camp and my brother arrived a few days later and isolated in my parents home and started getting things ready for the sale. I am so thankful to have my siblings here to help it's been a rough few years dealing with frail parents. Dad is so happy to see them. He has the biggest heart, he told me all he has to live for is his family. Quote"I love all my children, grandchildren and Great grandchildren." He is the most loving father anyone could ask for! He tells the Dr's every time I don't want to go anywhere yet, I have too many babies to love, more are on the way and I haven't met them yet. this has been quite a journey for all involved. Dad is like a miracle man he just keeps fighting. We are blessed for every minute we have him here. Again thank you all! Thanks for taking the time to read this. Wayne7 points

It is very bad sportsmanship to bail with a package because you don't want someone to take it. I get ragequitters because they can't handle it and want out but bailing because you don't want your package stolen is just pathetic tbh. Or bitching about someone for their playstyle and constantly being on their case about it.4 points -

I finally saved enough money and got it. The new 49" ULTRA-WIDE SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G9 @240HZ. God damn this monitor is soooo nice. Love the graphics. It was a bitch to update it. Lucky there was a thread about it on http://www.overclockers.co.uk On how to update it. Even down to how to and what you need to install it. Also what kind of USB you needed otherwise it wouldn't of worked. But very excited and loving this Samsung G9 240HZ HD 4K !!!!2 points

Yer beating your head against a brick Fldmarshal. Our Savior Jesus Christ said he could raise the dead, and you still wouldn't believe. Matter of fact, he did every miracle asked of him, but the Jewish people wouldn't accept, they wanted a Messiah of fire & sword, and wouldn't accept anything else. Pretty sad when people won't believe their own eyes, or their own ears, but will lap up anything spewed by false prophets. It's always been said, you can sell people a lie, long before you can GIVE them the truth.2 points -
Customer service has gone to shit everywhere !! Just take your covid card to another place and get your second Jab !!! Or write the link down and use your pc ? But I feel your pain. The world sucks !!! Donkey Dicks !!!!2 points

The p0int to more so consider would be how it unfairly impacts the player (& their team) who might have stolen it; changing a zer0-Sum to a Non-Zero-Sum game. Good to know it's cool when I start doing this, as there's more than a few packages liberated from me during a gaming session.2 points

The attitude I'm sensing when I visit the local post office is one of misanthropic fuck you; You can calmly begin to explain an issue, prefacing it with complete equanimity, & you can immediately see- even before you have yet to finish your first statement- a comportment of increasingly resentful agitation which quickly leads to them interrupting you in a defensive tone. So I stand there silently until they make eye contact & then ask if it's ok for me to finish saying what I had begun before they interrupted me. Ended up being my asking to speak with the post master/manger. 'They're not here right now.' When are they gonna be back? 'Don't know, they come & go; we don't keep track of them.' I didn't ask you to keep track of them, do they not have a set schedule of hours during which they're here? 'Yeah, but they come & go, & we don't know when they will return.' Can you contact them? 'No.' So, someone's scheduled to be here, but they're not here, nobody knows where they went, when they're gonna return & nobody has a way to contact them; but they're supposed to be running this place? Then some dude in his early 60s rounds the corner & asks why the packages aren't being left in the package locker newly-bolted to the lobby floor? Well, if I knew the answer to that, I wouldn't be here, would I? I think some of these passive-aggressive c0cksuckers are just waaay too complacent with their what I consider relatively cake job. I've stacked bourbon barrels at a Jim Beam facility, done landscaping, to include climbing trees, laying sod, clearing brush. I've done roofing on sweltering summer days where the prospect of falling off the roof & going to an air-conditioned ER didn't seem like an entirely bad idea at that moment. I've worked in nursing & have had every bodily fluid a human can produce splashed upon my corporeal being. I've wiped asses, cleaned trach tubes, given showers, sponge baths (the answer's 'no', Rob), been cursed & struck by demented patients, worked at a White Castle flipping endless burgers, worked at a pizza joint slapping-out an endless procession of pies & worked a stacked oven in a cramped hot-ass kitchen in the middle of summer; enclosed & climbed 3-story distillation towers to remove asbestos on frigid winter days & these fools have a fuck you attitude doing an easy job that pays & has benefits. Some of these motherfuckers need a good country ass whoopin', need to get tuned-up.2 points

I too have had to use my Albuterol inhaler much more than I did before I got Covid-19 and I think it has kept the amount of thick odd mucus in my lungs at a level that is easier to get out of them in the mornings. I am also pleasantly surprised that you didn't use "So, no facts? More ad hominem?" in response to my post. I would hate to run afoul of the "Grammar Police" since I tend to type in run on sentences. I will typically put in a period where I would take a breath, English wasn't my bag in school but I can add faster than most people can enter it in to a calculator lol. Plus I did learn the difference between then and than hahaha. Wash up, get your vaccines, and stay out of my now much larger personal space lol2 points -
In February I had my first covid jab, the then receptionist (see later), at my GP's rang me to arrange the appointment, all went like clockwork. Move on to today and a text arrived on my trusty Nokia 512, I can talk to people, send texts, it is small and light, and a charge lasts a fortnight. The text said press the link and arrange the next jab, problem, it is not a smartphone, hmmmm? So the way to go is ring the surgery right?, after 2 hours of trying I got through and asked for the receptionist who arranged the appointments. I was then told there were no 'receptionists' but they would direct me to the 'care navigator' (I swear it's true), who would help me, she was brilliant, her advice was to buy a smartphone. I replied I wasn't going to do that I was happy with my Nokia. Her reply 'sorry I can't help you' and she hung up', wtf? Is it me going backwards or the world?1 point

The 10 pin connection on the PS is for a proprietary motherboard main power connection. MB makers do this so you have to buy "their" stuff. Dell is bad about this. That being said don't use it unless your MOBO calls for it. For your "12" pin connection on the gpu you will use 2 cables. They will be the "6+2" cables but just use the 6 part of each cable to connect to the gpu. The other end having "8" connectors plug in to any of the "CPU/PCI-E" connections of your PS. Hope this helps. Knowing what MOBO you are using would help us a lot.1 point

Pfizer 2nd shot

Lol, I was bored & high; & he gave me some motivation. Fortunately, my asthma went away by the time I was 12 or so. Do you ever take Guaifenesin to help make the c0ugh more productive? If you do, it's a good idea to make sure you stay hydrated for it to be maximally effective. Also: run-on. =P1 point -

My situation & experiences were similar. Caught what I believe was teh Covid ~14 months ago. Got double pneumonia. 3 weeks of coughing-up shit, 3 weeks of convalescence, being weak af. Flu never did that to me, nor any secondary bacterial infection. Wasn't bacterial as I was on a course of Clindamycin at the time. Stayed hydrated, took some Guaifenesin, methylprednisolone, cough suppressant as needed & had an Albuterol inhaler I never, thankfully, needed. Kept the room humid, stuck my face over a pot of hot water upon waking to inhale steam to help loosen the g00. Felt out of sorts for a while if for no other reason than my body's systems being taxed as they were. The first shot made me sleep a little more than usual. The second shot made me sleep considerably more than I usually did. Would get 8 hours, wake up for 4, and go back to sleep for another 7. This was to be expected as the inflammatory response & T cells do their thing. Interestingly, the 2nd shot elicits more of an immediate defense reaction than an additional amplification of memory B cells for people that have previously recovered from COVID. Data is indicating that the second shot -for those having recovered- offers no more increase in memory B cell serum concentration over the first. Those people also have a considerably more robust protective immune response as contrasted with those who take both shots but never have had COVID. A good piece of information is the similarity among mutations originating on different continents: It indicates that this virus likely will mutate less than others have in the past, making the vaccines more effective. If someone hasn't yet been vaccinated & is considering, I would suggest the Pfizer over the other 2, as it doesn't contain an Adenovirus as a delivery vehicle.1 point -
You started the post with "Some of you are silly" which is pretty condescending, as if there aren't legitimate reasons for concern. I replied jokingly as we had had a reasonable, lengthy debate about a month ago and didn't think we were on the level of needing to start throwing ad this and ad that around if we didn't provide evidence for every remark. You already knew where I stood. Just try not to talk in such absolutes. I get it, you think the vaccine is a good for you and for most people. Fair enough. You think any potential risks are worth it. You think those risks are extremely minimal. You can't say with 100% certainty that there aren't possible unknown side effects, not including those that have already come to light. I'll be honest, having to sit and look up all the information I have processed on this issue to provide links etc is time consuming and I can't really be fucked anymore lol. I think I said it in the last thread, we agree to disagree. I thought we were able to poke a little fun at each other perhaps in place of further discussion to the point of ad nauseum, but perhaps you feel too strongly about this issue for that.1 point
