Age is great until it becomes 'old'

We just had an A-Mazing XI Fest 2022, and we cannot wait until the next one! Here's a suggestion on how to be sure you can attend Open a savings account at a bank you don't have any other accounts with. Do not get a debit card for this account. This will prevent you from being able to transfer money to other accounts or to easily withdraw money. There are approximately 46 weeks until the next XI Fest. Think of all the things you spend $ on, on a weekly basis like Starbucks, pizza, drive-thru's, etc. and add that all up. If you choose instead to put some or all of that money into that savings account I mentioned, then by Fest time next year you should have quite a chunk of change set aside for this event. If you put $25/week in, you'll have about $1,150; $20/week - $920, and even $10/week will give you $460 toward your trip. Most of us can't come up with all of the money at once, but by saving these smaller amounts regularly, you'll just forego those incidental purchases throughout the year and can look forward to an amazing time no matter where the next XI Fest is held. Now I know this will not work out for every person, but it's just one option of handling the finances for planning a trip with a bunch of idiots Location should become less of an issue if you've prepared yourself to have enough funds to get to wherever the next one is held. Heck, we came from Minnesota, Kentucky, Kansas, Maryland, Tennessee, Florida, Ohio, Illinois, Massachusetts, Mississippi, South Carolina, and even the UK to be at this one, so don't let that stop you from showing up next year Let's make 2023's Fest the most attended of all time!

Sorry to confuse RobMc. My point was that I miss my dear ol' banned son, but I also care for him at home. Time is the only thing that matters to me these days. I make good use of it.

Yeppers. Age doesn't seem to matter often. But, when you are a teenager, others may believe you don't know about life yet, because you are so young you haven't really lived it yet. To others, your age matters. When you are "old", many look and say "You're done. You've lived it. Now go away" or some such thing. Again, the years matter to many.

Use to be able to find the electronics flow chart for setting the sensors and other components of the engine management system by just using a good quality multi meter. As long as there was nothing wrong with the ECU it was easy to reset all the components for the computer to run the engine correctly. But they have now tied just about everything you can think of to run through it to where it’s a pain to get the operational flow chart of just the section that you need to work on and adjust. There are after market pieces that you can get that will let you into those controls, but won’t tell you if something as simple as a idle air control module is out of adjustment or not working. It use to be so simple.

If people want to make it they will.. It's worth the effort . I pray we never go three years again in between..

I quit riding back around 2005. Traded a Suzuki GSXR750 for a Z car. Too many distracted drivers now a days to feel safe on a bike. Fuckin cell phones !!!! But my current Z is just as fast and I have some protection.

We bought a hybrid a year ago, maybe more. Value has gone up $10,000 since we bought it. Last bike I had was my Gold Wing pictured in my profile. Even now though I'd love to get just a Yamaha, Raider. I don't know that I will though. I could get on it still, if I had one...lol

I used to hate eating Brussel sprouts when I was a child. Now I have to say and sadly admit I kind of like them. I needed to say that somewhere and this seemed the perfect place.

In my 44 years of driving I have only purchased two new vehicles. We buy 2 to 3 year old vehicles. Let someone else take the depreciation hit. As far as repairs I do them myself when I can. I put in a car lift a few years back and it didn't take long to pay for itself in labor savings. But I drive them till they fall apart from the rust !!

Very sad. Who raised these kids? Too much planning was done to be a mental problem unless born a physco. Instantaneous media coverage and splash tries to make this seem like the norm and mostly what we hear about. We know it is not but many kids do not.

Totally agree with you on the alcohol age. Have always said if your old enough to go to war , you are old enough to drink. As far as illegal guns, after checking the internet for stats, Canadas shootings are up 35% and are climbing for 2022 all attributed to illegal guns from the states. Percentage is a lot lower than U.S. but then our population is 10 times Canadas. Dont know how that works out with the percentages but illegal guns are not just a U.S. problem. There is merit for some gun control as the kid from Buffalo used a legally bought gun. He was also sighted and evaluated in the past for his racist beliefs. Should have been a red flag there somewhere. Being born and raised in Buffalo my thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims and their family. There are no words I can to say change what happenned. It is just horrible as to what people have become today.

I grew up in Buffalo and now live in North Tonawanda. I am so sad about this I pray for them all.
