FYI, My mom had a large right side stroke a week before this Christmas Day 2022. My dad was there and noted some issues quickly and called 911, this likely saved her life. While he was on the phone with emergency services the local EMS that happened to be around the corner at the time rolled in while he was on the phone. She was expressed to the local hospital. They administered the needed clot buster medicine and she is alive and well today. Working on the remaining issues as you might imagine nothing is perfect. Hope you all appreciate your loved ones as much as I do now. Appreciate all the help from everyone so far. -YACC

So, our cats got a catnip toy for Christmas from Grandma. He loves it... Short time later... I look over and there he is, face down in a stocking sound asleep. LMAO

Sending best wishes friend. Quick action is always best for a stroke. I had a friend that suffered the same at a young age and was able to recover in time.

Your mom is very lucky they were so close. 6 weeks ago my moms husband woke up on a Saturday morning feeling a little off. My sister got them to call 911 once in the hospital it took them a short time to figure out it was a stroke since it seemed so minor. Sunday night he passed. He was in great shape and the damage it did was just to much since it took awhile to fully diagnose what was going on. Time saves with a stroke. Sounds like they got hers under control in time. Prayers that there is no long term affects from it except a extended and healthy life now for her.

@bds1961Question for you is are you using DX9 or DX7...Cod2 prefers DX7 over DX9... The other things you can do is make sure electric/power cables are moved away from input cables... Next make sure your drivers are up to date and make sure your game display setting match that of your desktop settings... There is also a hidden game mode which you can find by searching "Game Mode Settings" on your Windows search bar and give a exception or turn off...Mine is set to off The most common over looked thing is a build up of dust in your Pc which causes heat spikes Finally you could do a "tracecert" with Command Prompts to see if you are bottling in Network or some where between you and the Server you are playing on which is most common Finally you could try a Game booster there are many out there and truth be told I have not used one since Our competitive gaming days of beating other Clans asses ? Basically it dedicates your Pc to gaming when turned on and it will prevent other programs from sniffing for updates and such
