Is it possible to remove all stats of the NY server? you have a new mod running and i already have seen other players in the top 3 than it was on the old mod.

 

So new mod, new chances for the players. think this is fair. we all know dramallama is going to be on top but the other ones are going to be a suprise i think.

 

The good thing i feel is that i have to make all the levels again...actually something that i love doing, its kinda a challenge. so thats good :D

Player stats are kept on the client machines. Only way to reset it is for each one to manually remove it. Or the server to put the mod itself into a new folder with a different name.

bs aiming... in old mode not matter that you ping 50 or 160 in this mode not accurately for killing enemy from distance is bs... and if you meet a player with low ping is Big BS for european players....

why change something that works well?? server full ,every day,no complaints from players, everything was ok.. WHY??????

I like changes, and i do like the new mod, thank you for that! Only thing i dislike is the short spawnprotection, its really a lot of time, 2 seconds more, for running away at a decent place to hide and defrost. Normally i had enough time to go and hide, i noticed that its not managable anymore.

i have been playing some more times now (ok, alot...lol ) and i can say i like the new mod, even if i liked the old very much.

I love the maps we can play again, there is still the RC car which can be shot now, so u have to be carefull as well while using it,

and my M4 is working finally and i can shoot ppl now....lol

 

The only thing i would really really like to see changed is the spawn time cause thats not enough, even if u really could run faster now.

 

Of course some bugs which are already named above, but when things r fixed i think it will be as much fun as the old mod.

And i love the idea of getting a chance to use rc etc when u reach points by defrosting, that would be great. But only if u still get 100-120 points for thawing....lol :thumbsup:

The standard scorestreak scores are the same as however many points you would get from TDM kills, +5 more points. So for the RC-XD it is 35 points. (3 kills of +10 each and another +5). The airstrike is 55 points and so on. NY server has a full defrost of +100. Which certainly wouldnt work with this and would have to be adjusted accordingly. But whatever loss there is in points is more than made up for in getting streaks from defrosting. In case anyone asks, defrosting with the RC does not count to score streaks.

 

So far the new mod has only had a few bugs. Found the cause of most of them but still working to figure one out. Also, some people have been kicked or the program crashed I think because they were new players and first-time joining writes alot of stat data. I am pretty sure the next time around it wont happen to them but I am not certain. Trying to make that more efficient.

I just checked and the spawn protection time was cut in half which is pretty drastic, let me add 2 secs to it and see how it goes. Leave your feedback here

It seems to be working fine for the rest of us, you need to delete the map and your iwd files then download it again, maps running now 15 in the server. Edited by Sonovabich

Okay, I had time to play a few maps last night and enjoy this mod a lot. I only have two complaints though,

 

1.) I don't like the faster running and shorter spawn protection. I would prefer it to be like the last mod, however I'm willing to get used to it if everyone likes it.

 

2.) I noticed that the Sentry Gun is able to shoot down the RC Cars VERY easily. Personally, I don't like how they are able to and how easily. If majority feels that's fair, again, I can adjust.

 

Other than that, the mod, new maps it's a lot more fun than the last few mods. Very well done Sammy and Rugger. (:

Yes both sentries are quite cool if I do say so myself. :rambo:

 

One reason for their power is because they cannot be moved, unlike mw2 or others. Sentries are meant to operate alone but people often tend to place it, camp behind it, then pick it up and move when nobody else is there to shoot at. So thats the trade off. They are very effective but you must place them carefully.

Forgot to add about the RC since it was mentioned last night,

 

The specs are a blast radius of 256 game units by default (same as the Betty). Damage at the farthest point is 50. Max, if you are standing on top of it, is 200. The actual center of the blast for damage purposes (not the fx) is 16 units higher than where the wheels are to give it a little bit of height. Obstructions can easily block this and its not perfect. One of the reasons the Betty has more of an effect is the popup.

Once this mod is sorted out, there is already a new version on the horizon, this version is what we have right now on the server but it adds a different way to get killstreaks. It doesn't go by kills it goes by points. So if you are a big defroster and don't ever get killstreaks well your gonna love this version, instead of getting a killstreak at 4 kills, you would get one at say 40 points. That can include kills or defrosts. So that is what will be on the chicago server once this mod gets sorted out.

Did some RC tests today. The damage falloff seems to be more of a curve with some pretty low damage at the farthest edges. The range is still there but the damage not really linear like its supposed to be. The damage functions used are the same as the cluster bomblets. Maybe those act the same as well but its hard to tell since there are so many of them? Going to try a couple other methods and see which works best.

 

I have several other fixes I am working on as well to take care of some problems so I dont know when it will be ready.

Ah I almost forgot, i tried the 11 killstreak ac130 yesterday. The timing was only 30 second its way too short. I need 10 seconds to get in to the map and change to cannon , that sucks compared to the uav missile. I can easily get 10 kills with the missile but only 2-3 kills in ac130. Either extend the time of ac130 to 1 minute or change to 9 killstreak which is more fair. Moreover i think that we need more killstreak for the artinney:*(, anyone agree?? the smart bomb even give me less kills than the artinnery :(

k i played this new mod only 2 times and left the server quick because it annoys me.

the mod seems nice, but its nothing like the previous one.

 

running is way too fast for me, but the real problem is the weapons, i mean it seems like its one bullet-kill for every weapon ?

 

i love the previous mod, it was well paced, everything was nice except the numerous crashes :(

 

but yea i may have to try it again to be sure, because maybe i had some lag problems, not sure.

whats the deal with the booby-trapped weapons? nothing ever happens as far as I can tell.

not only is the car having trouble kkilling people at a distance, but I can't remember how many times I've seen cars blow up right next to someone and doesn't kill them, so its more than reduced damage at a distance. Something is wrong up close, too.

 

edit: forgot to say that when the car blows up on its own, it kills things no problem. But when i trigger it to explode, thats when it isn't working properly

I tested the RC with the same method the predator uses. Seems to work better so I will go with that, but certainly not as powerful. Shouldnt be any difference between when you push the button or not. Both go to the same 'explode' functions with the RC owner as the killer. The ac130 timer doesnt start until you are actually on station and can fire the weapons. But the 'fly in' can be removed by Rugger if everyone wishes. The timer itself defaults to 30 seconds but it can go as high as 50 minutes... which might be just a tad too long. That is going to change in the final build but it was there for debugging. :hrhr:

 

For boobytrapped weapons I assume you mean dropped weapons. It has only 1 round of ammo in the gun and when it explodes it does some minor damage. Not enough to kill unless your health is already low. The majority of weapons are one shot one kill if you are close enough and hit the enemy in a vital area. Nothing wrong with the weapons. That's just the way it is in hardcore.

 

artinney? artillery? Its at a good streak number. Artillery is pretty easy to avoid since its slow and you can easily see it coming and have a decent idea where its going to land. SAM's will target the artillery launcher if the team has one.

run speed is a tad too fast. i realize the run and gunners are loving the run speed but for snipers this is hell!!!!!!!
