(try another device don't stick a fork in it!) 2.if it has power, check to make sure that your PSU cord/cable isn't broke by getting it tested or by trying another cord/cable (these tend to die at times). If you have a surge protector in line the check to make sure that hasn't been tripped as well. 3.if the wall and cord are fine, check to make sure your PSU hasn't popped a fuse or relay. 4. Check to make sure all connections from your PSU to the motherboard, gpu etc are correct and snug as a bug.(do not check with it plugged into wall!keep hands out till you know its def void of power) 5. Check to make sure your on/off switch on the pc tower is functioning correctly. By all accounts if all of the above are satified then I can't find a reason why you have no power. The above covers all aspects of pc power supply.(I think...) You ruled out CPU and mobo by buying new ones. Hope you get it sorted! You have a power supply issue and if you don't check everything in line from your wall plug to your PSU connectors then you will have trouble sorting it out. Everything that the electricity flows through to get to your mobo needs to be checked. The hardest part of my list is checking the PC tower on/off switch and the PSU cable from the wall, you will need a multimeter for those. If you are unsure of the procedure and are able to take it to a shop then all the better. Sure it costs some money but they will identify the problem quickly and get it going for you. It's the same reason you can't just transfer your old hard drive to a new computer and just fire it up. It will still be trying to boot using the old equipment. I would look at your case on/off switch. Should be some wires that connect from the on/off to your mobo. If that circuit looks okay...reinstall your old stuff. If that works return your mobo. If the old stuff dosn't work they you are missing a connection somewhere. Search around for any and all unconnected wiring. One other thing...just to clear this up...when you say nothing happen...that tells me/us there is no fans, no lights, no beeps...nothing. A fan/light or beep is a whole different situation. Keep us updated. jn hxtr and ANGUS

Black wire is ground Red wire is 5v Yellow wire is 12v. If you get both voltages then you know the power supply is working but if like jn said you need to find the soft switch to turn it on. SO did you use the same power lead ? try a different one then get a lamp or kettle and plug it into the wall socket to check it works. Once you have ruled that out do the same with your surge protector if you are using one again a lamp or kettle will do fine... that will prove you have actual power coming to the PSU. After that you need to check that power is leaving your PSU, a Simple voltage pen will test for this it just flashes or beeps (on some its both) if their is power. Now the other thing if there is power going to the motherboard....... There is no such thing as a universal colour code to the wires in a pc case so you need to double check that the correct wires from your power switch to the MB are in the right place. For this you need to double check the manual to your new MB then look at the wires from you power switch if you lucky they might be labelled ( you might need a torch and a magnifying glass to read them lol) Wires in the wrong place are one of the biggest fails when putting a new MB in your PC... it would be so much easier if their was an industry standard...
