Voting to skip maps

Honestly it's good thing sour got ban! F him but to be fair. He's got a point, this whole voting thing is just stupid. 

Make it simple, vote Yes vs vote No. Players who do not vote don't count them at all.

4 no vote.

Yes wins. 4 people didn't use their right therfore they can f off.

I have always wondered this:

Are 'no votes' considered an 'abstention'?

Typically 'abstentions' go with the majority as they don't care one way or the other.

Of course spectators votes should not count, just active players.

Only yes votes from active players count

No votes and abstentions are classed the same,

So it's pointless voting no, just carry on and enjoy the game

Based on some of the arguments: 16 active players. 1 yay 0 nay. The yay has it skip the map. Not even “yay’s”. If this is unfair, 1 player deciding for all, but requiring 9 players (%55 more or less) is also unfair, what’s your number in between that is fair? %25? %15?

And who picks this number?

my point was that some rotations a lot of maps are skipped because of glitchy areas,,to small for 30 ppl,,etc,,not just because someone does not like it. So if Peng or loco know which ones then they can be fixed or just left out. Some are skipped every time they are in a rotation. No i dont remember which ones,,lol

Honestly if only 1 player bothered to vote and apparently the rest doesn't mind, then I would say go with the voting person. If anyone else cared, they should have voted. That's why the voting is there!

If the majority says yes, then the vote passes.  We don't count "no's".  So if 10 people on each team are playing, then 11 yesses are needed to skip the map.  Once that number is determined, we don't adjust for people joining a team or leaving a team.

So what I'm getting from this is. 

20 players.

11 yes 51% majority wins. Great. 

Now my understanding is that you're looking for 11 Yes here out of 20 in game, what do you do when you get 8 Yes, 6 No and 8 Assholes who didn't bother voting? I've seen this going wrong many times but never bothered with. 

 

My simple suggestion would be to count Yes vs No in game.

20 players in game, 

6 Yes, 4 No, 10 no votes. Yes wins. F the no votes. I don't get the part where we have to work with the percentage. It's not rocket science. 

 

BTW, still F Sour. Extend his ban.

Current rules are well stated, again. You want to change them. That would also require a substantial vote in itself,
