What Happens in Vegas.....
Icequeen and 3 others reacted to WldPenguin for a topic
A husband comes home to find his wife with her suitcases packed in the living room. "Where the hell do you think you're going?" he says. "I'm going to Las Vegas. You can earn $400 for a blow job there, and I figured that I might as well earn money for what I do to you free." The husband thinks for a moment, goes upstairs, and comes back down, with his suitcase packed as well. "Where do you think you're going?" the wife asks. "I'm coming with you...I want to see how you survive on $800 a year!!!"4 points -

CNC Machining
KaptCrunch and 2 others reacted to Justice for a topic
hxtr, trig is a branch of mathematics that studies relationships involving lengths and angles of triangles. Damage, I picked it up in Tech school. I originally applied for auto body, I spent a lot of time in the garage tinkering and fixing the cars. But the class filled up before I got to choose. So the next best thing was machining. I learned machining 101 in school. How to read the tools, how to operate the manual machines, tooling, metals, feeds, speeds, etc. After school I broke away from it and worked in a housing plant sanding drywall. After a couple years of that and having kids, it was time to set myself up with a job I enjoyed. I no longer wanted to hate my job. I went to a job fair and stumbled upon this company and was basically hired on the spot as 3rd shift supervisor with no CNC experience. I learned everything i know now by manuals and on the job experience. I've been machining for a little over 6 years now and absolutely love what I do!!3 points -

For a living, I am a CNC Machinist. Third shift supervisor/ programmer. For the most part, I make parts for wire rope or suspension type parts for wire rope bridges. I write the code by hand using trigonometry and other math methods to figure out all my dimensions. Once in a great while I get some free time and can play around making stuff of my own. Here was a little project I whipped up for a buddy to help modify his mirror mounts for his motorcycle. WARNING** The volume is loud and the material is stainless steel which likes to screech. Anyone else love what they do?! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9QDSPc7XTM2 points -

The room was full of pregnant women with their husbands. The instructor said, "Ladies, remember that exercise is good for you. Walking is especially beneficial. It strengthens the pelvic muscles and will make delivery that much easier. Just pace yourself, make plenty of stops and try to stay on a soft surface like grass or a path." “Gentlemen, remember -- you're in this together. It wouldn't hurt you to go walking with her. In fact, that shared experience would be good for you both." The room suddenly became very quiet as the men absorbed this information. After a few moments, a man, name unknown, at the back of the room, slowly raised his hand. "Yes?" said the Instructor. “I was just wondering if it would be all right, if she carries a golf bag?” Brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it?!?!? This level of sensitivity can't be taught!2 points

So a buddy of mine asked me about a month ago to choose four people (two living, two dead) who I could have two beers with (it may have been have dinner with, but for purposes of this discussion, let's say "two beers"). Dead is easy for me....Lincoln (what the hell where you thinking ?) and Washington (what the hell where you thinking ?). The "living" people has been a plague upon my thinking. The obvious choices: Musk, Gates, Bezos. The curious choices: Bill Clinton (possibly the only bullshitter bigger than me, that I know of.....I may have something to learn, and I'm certain the conversation would not be boring and I'm also certain we wouldn't stop at two beers), Condoleezza Rice (yes, I did have to Google the spelling, but the most impressive female of my lifetime), Giuliani (leadership and overcoming adversity). But, either do to my overinflated ego or indifference to the actual importance of what could possibly be said to make the conversation worth my time, I could not decide on any of these incredible people. I have two friends who truly stand out to me. Hefe (who you may know), and J (who you don't know). I have the privilege of speaking with Hefe on an almost daily basis. J, I get to really speak with once or twice each year. I suppose our friendships offer a level of discussion that may move beyond courtesy and formality, and provide personal incite borne of familiarity. The incredible part: even thought we share a close relationship, I am consistently challenged by the ideas these friends offer. Challenges to my behavior, thought process, and assumptions.....and challenges I hope I am offer to them, as well. Perhaps the conversation is enhanced because of our history and previous discussion......strike that. I'm sure of it. For the two "living" people, I choose my two friends. So....whaddya got ? Two living, two dead. Wojo1 point

PimpedOutPete reacted to AyaqGuyaq for a topic
I think what @FRENCHIsaid is "Be rest assured that France will live on forever," or something like that. My French is a little rusty since I got deported after being arrested for peeing on Frenchi's tires . . . Vive la France!! Vive Las Vegas!! Vive all your handsome ladies and pretty gentlemen!! No, wait a minute . . . El mas loco!! No habla Francais!! Lol. Ayaq1 point -
Birthday Posts ?
KillerKitty reacted to WldPenguin for a topic
I don't see why it should be an issue to make a birthday post to each person. There is a section called user announcements in the forums that specifically says for birthday wishes, etc. Grouping them all together, in my opinion, takes away from the gesture of expressing birthday wishes to the individual.1 point -
