Hey Everyone I just wanted to take the time to ask for prayers for my amazing wife Jody. She was diagnosed with a form of leukemia last Friday. This came as shock for she has always been in the best of health and still is. We are hopeful for a good prognosis but we know we are in a long battle. She is the strongest person know. Updated yesterday, opened laptop today...black screen. Did a hard reboot by holding power button down...turned back on, now it says "Restoring your previous version of Windows..." sooooo I guess it didnt update. I run 7 on this one...and 7 stays on this one

That is not how I see it and I never will. There has been a shit load of unlawful violence and intimidation against citizens of a few countries over the past 30 years that had absolutely nothing to do with political aims. Howdy folks, It's obvious that Steam has screwed the pooch with some sort of update, decided to back everyone down to 1.6 then update everyone to a non-standard 1.8 community update that we don't currently support and our COD4 numbers are likely suffering because of it. This doesn't effect Disk based windows install folks, Linux based folks or Mac App store based folks just yet. Some Options May be: Go to 1.8, it's been out for a while but 1.8 is not official and it's not available for Linux or Mac and may never be so that cuts out a percentage of our players (and members) that won't ever be able to play on our servers if we do that. Have our Sr folks/programmer types that have some clout Talk to Steam and ask them WTF is going on and maybe throw any weight we have around and see if there is a change that can be made or find out why this is happening? Stay the Course and see COD4 dwindle down to nothing, which will be what the folks who play the other games have been hoping for the last decade plus would happen @Ruggerxi @Sammy @dadda2 @Sitting-Duc @Gatorgirl @BUDMAN @Roxy! what say you all? the time is nigh to act Respectfully, Yaccster

Well that's Windows 10 for you , the OS is barely even in Beta so that's why they force updates. I remember when 1 update basically fucked up one of my HDD where it began making clicking noises , I had enough and went back to 8.1 and everything was working perfect and haven't had an issue since. The only decent Windows 10 is the Enterprise edition where you can actually disable the updates and telemetry. The recent Windows 10 updates seem to be hit or miss for most peoples computers which is unacceptable in my eyes , its no wonder why many businesses stick to windows 7

Be careful of believing everything you read in the tuts . Most have mistakes or skip over some detail. Start with the tools. I would guess most people give up second time around deleting everything including the game and trying again. After you get the tools working hit me up with a pm I'm on say 8 ish to noon ish est most days. Good luck and just so you know the beginning is a steep steep learning curve but once your over that and with some patience maps are easy enough to do

Mum & Dad,I am well. Hope youse are too. Tell me big brothers Doug and Phil that the Army is better than workin' on the farm - tell them to get in bloody quick smart before the jobs are all gone! I wuz a bit slow in settling down at first, because ya don't hafta get outta bed until 6am. But I like sleeping in now, cuz all ya gotta do before brekky is make ya bed and shine ya boots and clean ya uniform. No bloody cows to milk, no calves to feed, no feed to stack - nothin'!! Ya haz gotta shower though, but its not so bad, coz there's lotsa hot water and even a light to see what ya doing! At brekky ya get cereal, fruit and eggs but there's no kangaroo steaks or possum stew like wot Mum makes. You don't get fed again until noon and by that time all the city boys are buggered because we've been on a 'route march' - geez its only just like walking to the windmill in the back paddock!! This one will kill me brothers Doug and Phil with laughter. I keep getting medals for shootin' - dunno why. The bullseye is as big as a bloody possum's bum and it don't move and it's not firing back at ya like the Johnsons did when our big scrubber bull got into their prize cows before the Ekka last year! All ya gotta do is make yourself comfortable and hit the target - it's a piece of piss!! You don't even load your own cartridges they comes in little boxes and ya don't have to steady yourself against the rollbar of the 'roo shooting truck when you reload! Sometimes ya gotta wrestle with the city boys and I gotta be real careful coz they break easy - it's not like fighting with Doug and Phil and Jack and Boori and Steve and Muzza all at once like we do at home after the muster. Turns out I'm not a bad boxer either and it looks like I'm the best the platoon's got, and I've only been beaten by this one bloke from the Engineers - he's 6 foot 5 and 15 stone and three pick handles across the shoulders and as ya know I'm only 5 foot 7 and eight stone wringin' wet, but I fought him till the other blokes carried me off to the boozer. I can't complain about the Army - tell the boys to get in quick before word gets around how bloody good it is.
