Early days and baby steps for now but I've not been so happy in a very long time... In these troubled times in the XI forums, the growing influence of snowflakes needs to be accounted for, don't you agree Senior Admins?? we can't carry on being politically incorrect, rough and saying things how they are, no, we must become more cuddly fluffy and caring. I for example grew up in a tough neighbourhood, did a tough job and (true) never worked with women until I was 44, needless to say I made them cry. However, I ended up being loved (not literally) by those same women, reaching the dizzy heights of being told by them all that I was the only man in the building (true again). So this morning, following my new Regime I was presented with a dilemna, in the banter in the swear/shoutbox Shiny said this '@RobMc it's true, I do need my beauty sleep haha ', I was about to reply then stopped myself, normally it would have been 'yes you do', Shiny would have laughed and given me the finger or something. But hold on, I realise that not all our readers get this as a joke, apparently there are those among us that think such things are downgrading and insulting, ffs, think of the distress Rob has caused you all throughout the years?, no the wonder they think I'm beastly and the Devil incarnate. Rob must apologise and somehow make up for telling the truth and joking, no that isn't right is it? so in return I will let the snowflakes knife me in play for one month, the rest of you will now know what's happening. Rob is only allowed Internet access for a few hours a day at the home. They also disabled his PornHub account (not surprising ... he bogs down the WiFi at the facility so much that even the caregivers can't access their daily logs), so he vents his frustrations on here now. I have spent the last month helping my youngest daughter who just had a baby. She has been having a very rough time. She went to the hospital this morning and they told her she is going through a very bad case of postpartum depression. She can't sleep or eat and she is suffering from anxiety. They gave her sleeping pills and made appointments to get her help. She said, "Mom, how do you know so much? They said almost word for word what you have been saying to me all along." I just told her I didn't get to 62 years of age without learning things. She is a lot better now and she is coming to my house to sleep.

Now Im scared. There's an F1 race coming up and and I Don't want Rob to like it. (With his new persona). Oh I hope he still hates it. Fingers crossed.

Today I realised I watched Youtube more than tv, it has sneaked up over the years and I've tried to ignore it, but it has everything, caters for all tastes and you don't have to turn over. Firstly I confess I never watched much tv anyway, until satellite in the UK programmes were awful, the BBC especially I haven't watched for some 15 years apart from Bargain Hunt, it always has been the most left wing, politically correct and prejudiced channel ever. A long time ago I realised how the owners of tv stations used their influence to bias news stories their way, false news has become the norm, no one can be trusted. But Youtube?, hey, I have been entertained and learnt more from this channel than 40 years of tv, brilliant, but I fear that once it dominates then we will be paying for it, the writing is on the wall. My favourite channels are Hickock45 and demolition ranch for guns, Scotty Kilmer and John Cadogan for cars, Tods workshop for bows and the History Channel documentaries, especially about ancient peoples. What are yours? Rob needs more to think about in bed.

Greetings My Friends, I'm experiencing sensations of sadness, gratitude, joy, and adjustment - that an old friend has left on a journey and I won't see them anymore with these eyes. I don't usually share much story, so this is kind of out of character for me.....sorry if it's long winded. I spent my early years as a guitarist cultivating my chops, giving myself to the wood and steel - then one day I heard Edward not long after Van Halen II was released. My life was different from then forward. I devoured every track of every album and found obscure recordings, bootleg and legit, I studied VH recording methodologies, guitar tone, etc. Many guitarists have influenced me - but Edward, was so unlike anyone else before and since - nobody will every fill those shoes. He changed it all - the way the instrument is played, the way it is amplified, the way guitars are made – everything. I had Eddie "wallpaper" in my room as a teenager, I went to his concerts (if I left my room long enough to put down the guitar), and after a lifetime of music, in 2014 I relearned a massive catalog of his work as a seasoned player with discipline and commitment, rediscovered his musical genius – not that I ever doubted it (it's a lot to learn and absorb). I enjoyed playing some great concerts with a VH Tribute band even though I don't usually go for that kind of thing. I did it so I could really learn and perform his work well, and go back to school so to speak. I worked my ass off for two months learning a shit-ton of material and holy shit, that man wrote some truly remarkable music. To this day, every few months I have an EVH night to myself in my studio and just listen - sometimes whilst driving or when I want to get back to basics of sound, feel, and musical authenticity. I find isolated guitar tracks of Edward on YouTube most exhilarating and sacred, and listen in a state of wonder and gratitude for this person who brought so much to the world. I knew he was fighting disease, and just a few days ago was listening to his music and wondered how he was doing....well now we know, and I'm glad his suffering has ended...he fought long and fought hard, many kinds of battles. So here's my small, private tribute to share with my friends – from a 2015 concert opening up for Warrant. For The Maestro, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen – Thank You Forever Peace y'all......the D is feelin' real heavy. Thank you for being my friends - you folks are the best! ?

I am inspired by this turnabout New Rob because I, too, had little use for some kids growing up in the '50s (that would be the 1950s for those of you still sucking at the teat.) We had a few "sissies" in our neighborhood and when we'd see one, we'd kick the shit out of him so he'd grow a pair. One day a fat boy (there weren't a lot of fat boys then because we were all outside playing instead of sitting on our asses staring at a screen) asked if he could play kick-the-can with us. We kicked the shit out him for daring to do so. One day we saw Johnny watching us jumping on our pogo sticks. Johnny was a retard. We didn't tolerate no retards so we kicked the shit out of him. As to girls, well, we kept our distance - unless they agreed to show us their's if we showed them our's. Anyway, I, too, have decided to make a major change in my life. I still kick the shit out of sissies, fat boys and retards but I've decided to start kicking the shit out of snowflakes because more than anyone else, they need a good ass-whooping. So thanks New Rob for giving me something else to do as I await the Coming of the Covid which, at my age and with my pre-conditions, will sure as shit put me down. It's just a matter of time.
