  2. A few of us were discussing this on teamspeak a while back and it turned out we were all taking between 5000-10000iu per day, as were some in the politics forum. There is a correlation between vitamin d status and coronavirus severity. If you've been locked up in your house and not getting any sun for months it might be a good idea to get some. This is not a cure all, but it might help. Generally the further north you live, the greater the chance that you will be deficient. https://vitamind4all.org/letter.html This site discusses the science and makes recommendations. It has a list of prominent signatories from around the world.

    Vitamin d for coronavirus

The thing here is as we get older we should be supplementing our immune system...I was never one to do so until about 6/7 years ago and since I have learned so much...I use moringa, lycopene, vitamin C/D/B12 and turmeric/curcumin with bioperine...I am not the healthiest person by any means but they all have changed my health needs and have replaced some pharmaceutical's...Moringa and lycopene alone have been major game changers... Lycopene had a major roll in beating cancer for my then 27yr old stepdaughter who had inoperable throat cancer...She has went to med school currently working in a hospital and cancer free..My middle daughter currently has congestive end stage heart disease and again moringa and lycopene have helped with her extraction rate from 16% to now 31%...She needs a heart transplant and her doctors are loving the results they are seeing with her taking them... We all should be talking about trying to maintain our health with proper eating and supplements Great post !

  22. The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid-term. The answer by one student was so "profound" that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well : Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat) ? Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following: First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there are these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added. This gives two possibilities: 1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose. 2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over. So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my freshman year that, "It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you," and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct....leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God." THIS STUDENT RECEIVED THE ONLY "A"

  27. The only thing I do with dive tables is having them in my jacked, in case of emergency. Everyone uses a dive computer now, far more easy. I always take a second with me so the dive tables stay in the jacket I dive al the year in a drysuit, except in Egypt the water there is nearly 30°C.

    Any scuba divers here?

That is just too cold for me (wet suit) ... maybe if I had a dry suit it would be different - never used a dry suit. I haven't dove in over 15-years, would have to re-learn my dive tables again ?

  40. I worked in a prison in Carson City, Nevada. Our maintenance shop was in a very old prison right next door, which closed in 2012. Nevada State Prison, established 1860. First legal gas chamber in the US, but they also used the electric chair, hangings, and lethal injections. So, lots of executions, murders, and old age deaths. I worked a couple of days alone in the death chamber and would just ask the spirits to leave me alone, which they did. I've seen lots of light streaks, mere feet away from me. Seen many orbs as well. A couple of movies have been filmed there. An Innocent Man, starring Tom Seleck. With some real inmates as part of the movie. And another recent one, The Mustang Movie, with Bruce Dern. I've a few pictures on this computer with light streaks, see if I can find them

  42. I did ask about the hit marker in here previously but only got one reply. If people don't like the hit marker, can remove it and see how it goes. As for the weapon power, part of that is the mod, but can make some changes if people agree weapon power is too low but would also be unrealistic for a one shot kill by shooting someone in the foot. That all said, the intent of this mod was not to completely replicate NamFT and it's settings (I've carried over some but the mods are different so the settings too don't behave the same) but to be a change and allow for us to play maps that we can not play on the Nam mod.

  43. Those who always use heavy weapons may not have noticed, but I almost always use the svt-40 and here the change is very evident. In Vietnam 90% of the time a single shot was enough, now in this openwarfare mod 90% I need 2 shots, and sometimes even 3. I personally hate that and would rather go back to Vietnam, but obviously I'll be where the bulk of the people are. Another thing I don't like is the hit indicator when you take a good shot, this is a big drawback when you get shot through a wall, a great and unrealistic snitch.
    1 point
  44. I noticed that too, indeed ! Honestly though and it's my personal opinion, I kinda like it because it makes it different (also a nice change of pace) from the Vietnam server and you have to try to aim more for the head or just focus more in the game and "adapt" to this new mod... and then you find your way of what fits you the best. In some ways, it already looks a lot like the Vietnam server in my opinion, which is good I think ! (except that I miss my M16 too @Mazdarati ! lol).

    Face masks

My whole family has COVID. Wear a face mask. Consider that you might be an asymptomatic carrier and are spreading it because you aren't covering up. We have worn them since the beginning, but we live in a resort town that has been overrun by mask-less vacationers. None of our friends have it. We got it from somebody in a public space who thought they didn't need to wear one. That people are still refusing to do such a simple thing is mind-boggling to me. Quit rationalizing why you don't need to.
