Well after 15 years living in Missouri (Misery state). After good and bad times the bad has won time to go. Been away from my family for a long time moved to Arizona a month ago to be with them! Start my new job at Avi Casino in Nevada as Engineer in Facilities all indoor work no more hot days crawling over under machines geting dirty. The pay is a little less but the work environment will overcome that. Lots of T&A to look at is worth some right? Plus will be 3rd shift when the servers are dead now get to play more that is also a plus to spend time with this family also worth something! HeeeeeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaW!

I do enjoy a catchup on the ban forums over a morning cup of tea. Some are quite enjoyable lol - anyone else time to read them?

Watched Human Desire the other morning, love when Broderick Crawford plays a less than stellar character. The train Glenn Ford is piloting pulls into the yard, and it looks like an EMD as the powerplant. Close up shots switch to an ALCO PA. Never heard of Central National, was that just a name created for the movie?

I grew up around the corner from Baldwin Locomotive Works and the EMD and Alco products killed them because they could not keep up lol...They both out performed them but I used to get to watch them bring the trains out on the turn style bridge to turn them around...I used to ride Engine 58 all the time with my kids on the Wilmington Western RR...It was a blast as she went across 7 wooden bridges and cross a few roads... Engine No. 58 was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philadelphia in October 1907 for the Atlanta, Birmingham & Atlantic Railroad... She later became Atlanta, Birmingham & Coast No. 27. The locomotive was eventually sold to the U.S. Army and wore the number 6961, and was sold again to the Virginia Blue Ridge Railway and became their No. 4... She was later purchased by the Mead Corporation of Lynchburg, Va., and renumbered 300. In 1963, Malcolm Ottinger purchased No. 300 for his Valley Forge Scenic Railroad... The engine was then purchased for the Wilmington & Western in 1973 and renumbered to 58 its original number... She returned to service in 1998 and has been operating ever since...

Nice but when gas hits 5 bucks a gallon for the cheep stuff what will it cost just to fill it up? my van gets 16 city/ 19 hwy and it sux now and i dread it then.
