Our rivers here in New Brunswick are mow open. We are in spring flood stage. There will be a lot of floating debris in the rivers right now. Lakes would be safer. We are very fortunate here in NB to have a fantastic river system to boat in. It's the Saint John River and it's tributaries. Hundreds of miles of great boating. May 23 will be our long weekend, that is traditionally the first big boating weekend. May 1st is the opening day of trout lake fishing, I'll be there!

@YACCsterThanks for the inquiry. If I can make it, it will be a shorter notice and I'll hotel it or if there's a room to share later, maybe that. I've been reluctant to post this, but some of you will recall my wife Debbie was just recovering from a lung cancer surgery at the XI Fest at Niagra Falls in 2017. And you all surprised her with a birthday cake at the XI Fest in Carolina! She was cancer free for four years, but unfortunately returned this past October in the way of a metastasized tumor in her head and one in her lung again. After radiation, we are happy to say both have reduced in size and they say there is currently no active cancer. Also good, no chemo. So it's been slow recovery, getting her energy back, but still requires oxygen. She has told me to go meet you all without her, but too many unknowns until then. More testing in early June, so we'll see. Nice find @Ruggerxi! It looks like a great place to par-tay! Folks, please don't hijack this thread with sympathies - send a PM, if you must. @Ruggerxi

can the XI summerfest be held in a national park eg. Glacier, Grand Canyon, Great Smoky Mountains, Yellowstone and Yosemite.

We have decided to go ahead with the Fest this year. We need to know a head count on who's coming so we know we have enough to rent the house. What on earth is this post? Are you implying that for any unvaccinated, if they do get COVID, they will NOT spread COVID around, even to the vaccinated?
