I use NOD32 works great for me. It's protected me from some RootKit attempts caused by my son visiting "his" sites. I picked up a 2 pc license for 34.99 off newegg.com awhile back. It runs a very small footprint in the background and has yet to interfere with any of my games. Frequent virus updates, patches, and good firewall.

Just my 2 cents.

Good Luck!

I have to concur with those that refer the Windows Security Essentials, and CCleaner, and Malware Bytes. I like to run CCleanr 1-2 times a week, Malware once a month unless I see something is slowing my pc. Set them all to auto update except Malware that you need to do manually. Norton and Mcafee use way to many resourses so at all cost avoid them. All the ones I and others have mentioned are free and are very effective and doesn't have conflicts with any of the Windows OS's.

I use  McAfee , it comes free with my internet service ---(CoX cable , Oklahoma ) been using it for years and so far has done the trick.

Windows essentials has gotten solid reviews and its free , I have several family members that have tryed it and have not heard them having any problems that it has not dealt with effectively.

I dont run an antivirus any more and I would not run mcafee if they paid me. Blotware... uninstall that crap and see how much faster your computer is.

I run script blocker for firefox and start unlocker for if I do get something. Start unlocker will try and unlock the process but if it cant.. it will delete it on the next reboot. It is the fucking shit.

I use Avast and Reg Mech for a cleaner..

I had to use Rkill along with Avast  in safe mode to get rid of virus on my daughters pc.

Rkill makes it so you can use the antivirus.  Its not hard to find the info on how to use it..

I also like Avast for antivirus.  Ccleaner and TFC (temp file cleaner) to get rid of junk, Malwarebytes and Superantispyware for scanners and if you have a running virus dr. web cure it antivirus can usually knock those out for ya even when mcafee, norton, avast and avg can't (even when they install themselves as drivers).  And of course all of these are free...i love free stuff that works just as good as the pay programs.

I also run malwarebytes and ccleaner. I also run atf, which is another cleaner.  For and antivirus i run Microsoft Security Essentials.  Its free, and can be downloaded off the microsoft website.  None of this shit will do you any good, if you dont keep them updated.

same here bob...

yes I use exacly the same plus free commodo internet security premium which is a great  backup virus  and firewall program all in one.

I use OBAMA-BYTES. It is guaranteed not to get a virus..since you can't afford internet anymore, because it also makes you unemployable.

And if for some reason you still can afford internet and do get a virus, don't worry, they will pay for it, just fill out the form and submit, it is available for everyone-----  you know chinese right???
