Finally got the mother board and memory about 6 months ago. Just picked up two HD 7970 3gig cards and 4 SSD's. Did a temp install with one video card just to check the speed of the drives. Got @640mb/sec read. Also got the water blocks for the mother board and the Video cards last week. I am still waiting on some parts to complete the water cooling. One day at a time I guess...Just wanted to post some pics...what do you think? Already have a 32gig set of G-Skill ripjaws and bought a 64gig set for it as well. I am gonna wait till it is all done then swap the memory out to do some testing to see which is better. The 64gig set is a bit slower on timings and I was told I would never need that much anyways but, we shall see....... Personally I don't think anyone will play Crysis 3 after the last one bombed.....lot of folks gave up on them. That makes a difference. I'll bet you could hit 5gig if you water cooled. I have this card and put it in to test. It got just under the 640mb/sec read so I went with the on board for now. I'm gonna buy a battery for it and that should almost double the access time. But they are expensive. I have a friend that has a 512meg card like this in his server.
