I have been hanging on to an 1100t 6 core processor for better part of 2 years waiting on enough funds to build. Finally got the mother board and memory about 6 months ago. Just picked up two HD 7970 3gig cards and 4 SSD's. Did a temp install with one video card just to check the speed of the drives. Got @640mb/sec read. Also got the water blocks for the mother board and the Video cards last week. I am still waiting on some parts to complete the water cooling. One day at a time I guess...Just wanted to post some pics...what do you think? Do you think I will be able to keep up with the Jones's now? hehehe

Very nice! I love building and tinkering with PC's, and reading about other people's rigs. What brand motherboard? How much memory? What water cooler system are you using?

Very nice! I love building and tinkering with PC's, and reading about other people's rigs. What brand motherboard? How much memory? What water cooler system are you using?

I will post all the specs when I am done. I will be using the same pump, radiator, case and a few other things. This one will have the south bridge cooled as well.

System I am replacing....

CoolMax 1,300 Watt ,

Phenom II x4 940 3ghz, OC to 3.8 ghz

DFI 790FX B M2RSH, (Mother Board)

2 Radeon sapphire HD 5870 V2 1gig in crossfire

8gig OCZ Reaper 5-5-5-15

2 intel SSD drives 150gig in Raid 0

(adding one WD 640 gig spare drive)

Watter cooled CPU, North bridge, and Video cards,

Thermaltake Aqua M5 pump

XSPC Triple 120mm Radiator

ASUS xonar Essence ST 124db sound card

CMSTACKER 830 S2 case,

Dell DellTM UltraSharpTM U3011 30”W Monitor” wide screen 100,000 to 1 contrast ratio 2560 x 1600 at 60 Hz

Vista 64bit ultimate….

Logitech G510 keyboard Ver 1

Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse

Belkin n52te Game controler

Logitec G35 headset

I have a friend helping with the water cooling and he said. "Your building this to play Crysis?..A 4 year old game? You might as well build a Ferrari to drive down your driveway to check the mail"...hehehe

Already have a 32gig set of G-Skill ripjaws and bought a 64gig set for it as well. I am gonna wait till it is all done then swap the memory out to do some testing to see which is better. The 64gig set is a bit slower on timings and I was told I would never need that much anyways but, we shall see.......

Personally I don't think anyone will play Crysis 3 after the last one bombed.....lot of folks gave up on them.

Damn fine pc your gonna build there wizid, gotta love the 6 core AMD's,Ive got a 1090t in my now secondary machine and it just chews up data....but it just wasnt fast enough for BF3 so i set about building myself a new one..(see below).Quad core i7 3770k,16Gb 2133mhz Gskill,Muskin SSD's,Caviar Blacks in Raid 0,Gtx 680.....When i get a bigger power supply im going to stick another 680 in,then that will be me for a couple of years..... Absolutely love it to bits, running at 4.6 and never gets over 65 c.full load.and thats on air so i could probably get the temps down with a custom loop..

Nice wire management. That makes a difference. I'll bet you could hit 5gig if you water cooled.

I have this card and put it in to test. It got just under the 640mb/sec read so I went with the on board for now. I'm gonna buy a battery for it and that should almost double the access time. But they are expensive. I have a friend that has a 512meg card like this in his server. I'd like to talk him out of that but he aint bugging on price.
