Putting more art on my body!

Recommended Posts

So since the last time I posted a tattoo (which was a while ago), I've gotten two new ones! Most recent one today - and I'm soo happy with it.

The newest one, I'm so in love with it.

But I have never had a tattoo before. What's it like getting one?

It's like a turn on for some people lol

I believe it has to do with the level of each persons pain tolerance.

For me I got Pegasus on my right shoulder for my first one. Once he started it was like a feeling that I can't describe. lol After an hour it felt numb. Then when he got closer to the edge where there was no muscle it went to a whole new level of pain. It didn't last long though and it gave me a rush. By the time he was done I was wanting more and more lol To me the pain was worth the finished product.

My girl friend was going for flowers on her ankle. She now has a 2 inch black line on her ankle for the rest of her life haha

Lol I love tats on people, and peircings but that's just me  I was going to put the one I wanted on my arm, probably in the same position. I'm just curious about other peoples experiences so I can get a feel for what to expect if I ever get it done

Well you have a good start with 'painkiller' think very very carefully before doing this it's for life not just for Christmas, no good regretting it next year - too late m8, not my type of thing, it seems to be fashionable, but fashions pass very quickly.

I'm not going to sugar-coat it, it's a painful experience. But how painful it is really depends on what your pain tolerance is, and where you get the tattoo. Like previously mentioned, getting one on a spot on your body where the skin's thin (like on your ribs or shoulder) hurts alot more. And you'll be numb and sore a few days after getting the tattoo. If you're afraid of the pain, just take some painkillers (like ibuprofen) an hour beforehand, or drink some alcohol lol.

But if your mind is setting on getting a tattoo, and you really know you want it, go for it! Just make sure you think hard about it beforehand. It's not a thing you can just easily remove a few days later :P

As you can (maybe) see on this photo my skin is quite swollen, this being one day after I got it. But that'll pass. After a while your skin will also start to scab and itch, and that's when the real challenge begins - to NOT scratch it or peel of the shedding dead skin. You also have to clean it alot and add alot of perfume-free lotion to it

Thanks for the advice! I'll make sure to keep it in mind. I haven't made up my mind yet though

We need a tattoo thread/forum for the lovely skin art of the clan! I have a half sleeve (elbow to wrist)  and one above that on my right arm, 4 tats on left arm, dragon on the back of my left leg breathing fire over at a wizard on the back on the right leg.... love tats!!!!

Icey - can I get a tat of you on my arm????

LMFAO, @RobMc, aka "McRib!!!!"

Be careful, though:  whilst baring your "family jewels,"  @Icequeen's squirrel might jump offa her and scamper into your "hidey-hole."

@TBB, my eloquent and effervescent buddy, you:  how about tattooing "BBT" on your forehead so you'll remember who you are every time you look in a mirror?

Hmm?  Friendly (mostly) suggestion.

LMAO, you guys and gals.

I agree! A separate tattoo forum would be awesome, easier to check out everyones art! :D I love tattoos as well, really want more as soon as the bank account agrees lol

Sweet @LadyIngvild, when I saw the title of your thread, I was gonna ask if your boyfriend's name was "Art," but only a jerk would type that, and I'm not a jerk, so I didn't type it.

Make sure they use clean, sterile needles!!!

Good luck.

If anyone puts art on you, I would much rather enjoy the canvas than the art.

Just admittin'.

Lol.

      Hello my fellow idiots,

I thought I'd share with you all my first tattoo I just got today.

It's a dragonfly under my right ear. It's a symbol that represents my grandmother who has passed. I'm interested in adding a little more to it in the future.

      What do you think idiots?
