  2. Mad Doc

    Introduction

Hello!! Mad Doc here (real name Leon). I have been playing here almost daily for the last 2 years following the closure of my old Clan, Old Farts Squad. Hung on till it was no longer viable because of a promise I made Davey J our leader, before his death. As one of 2 senior admins I wanted to see it continue but finally we lost. Lot of good friends there, several continue to play occasionally here. Since coming over here I have felt at home. A lot of people that I really enjoy playing against and chatting with. As far as background I spent 45 years in the US VA Medical system. 3 years in the US Army followed by 42 years as an MD in the Memphis, TN VA hospital. (Don't let the MD throw you. Always said it is what I do, not who I am). I grew up in a completely blue collar family (mostly cotton farmers) and I still feel more comfortable around 'working' people. Looking forward to meeting more of you and hopefully kicking your butts in game.

  3. It's XIs server not his. Some times I'll join the cod4 DM server just to piss him off lol. It's all in good fun though but he certainly doesn't think so.

  4. I just finished a job working in Hospitality for two and a half years and I am now about to start a job in IT with the same company. Working at a University has its perks because there's a lot of different career paths

    Taco Tuesday!

*Reader advised; Sikon has been drinking again! I love homemade tacos and burritos. I'm white living in NorCal.. so my range is limited! lol Lets see them pink tac.. I mean fully cooked tacos! This is my current (give or take) taco recipe.. Nothing crazy, I like them though. 2-3 lbs of carne asada or flank stake. Trimmed, then sliced accordingly. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add Kinder's; The Taco Blend. Let rest.. drink.. smoke.. get everything else ready.. (Once meat is half or 2/3s done cooking, add a lot more Kinder's; Taco Bland to taste untill done. ) 1 can of corn drained, I like to ad a small amount of sugar, mixed in. 1 can of black beans, I tend to rinse in a strainer. 1 can of refried beans, Microwave a minute to thin out. Add small amounts of water if dry, then microwave 30 sec more. Generally, do this close to the end. Mexican shredded cheese Pico de gallo Sour Cream Cotija cheese (on top) Pepper to taste (on top) Small to medium tortillas Assembled; Tortilla Refried beans, thin layer. Carne asada Corn Black beans Shredded cheese Pico de gallo Cotija cheese Pepper

  18. I recently bought a MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Ti for around 600 on amazon. The one you are shopping seems to be a good deal. I looked and the reviews on the website itself aren't too bad.

  22. I am so sorry that Starfire won't be gaming with us anymore, he was a really fun guy and proud to be a member of >XI< and tried so hard even as his skills began to fail him. The last thing I remember him saying to me was "Where are they Phuck? I can't see any of them" on a big sniper map and because the wife was sleeping 5 feet away from me since I play in the Master Bedroom I wasn't able to give him any intel. But it was becoming clear he was starting to really have some issues but wouldn't give up his weekends with the Gang. I am glad he is no longer suffering and is now in Heaven hanging out with some of the finest gamers and human beings to ever walk this planet. Our Fallen members list reads like a who's who of great folks who loved Gaming a ton and >XI< even more. RIP My Friend you will be missed more than you will ever know. My Love and Prayers go out to his Wife and Family and everyone who considered Starfire a Friend

What do you do for work?

Broadcast Engineer for WarnerMedia. Our networks include TBS, TNT TRUtv ( just finished March Madness tourney with CBS) Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, CNN, HBO/Cinemax, TCM, NBA etc...all come out of my building. (Also HBOmax is our streaming service) Essentially I'm like a fireman, when there is an air issue, or an equipment issue, I come running. I'm very fortunate, it's a great place to work. https://www.warnermedia.com/us

What do you do for work?

Senior IT manager for a state agency - previously a software engineer - which I may go back to. Management is often boring... I am only a manager again because I hate working for dipshits and IT tends to attract a lot of bad managers. Or rather IT attracts people who want to be in management that have no business being there. I manage many introverts and interact with people that can be very 'sensitive'. I have to be Politically Correct at all times and always watch what I say. Than can be difficult. That is why I enjoy playing on an adult server and I am an asshole most of the time in-game - to let it all out. FU all. I don't mean it personally and I love you all. As hard as it is to believe, I am actually a nice person in real life and good to work with / for.

  34. Started 44 years ago at a global automobile paint finishing company named Durr. A German company with our office in the Detroit area, in 1978 I started as a production worker for one year. You might say I "discovered electricity" and transferred into the electrical department, where I learned & built control panels for the equipment. Started EE school at night, moving from wiring, to design, service and eventually hardware & software engineering (I have been the Electrical Engineering Manager for the last 8 years). The company branched into automation in the late 80s (Durr Automation), then automation and industrial washers in the 2000s (Durr Ecoclean) and finally we now do only specialized washing equipment (Durr sold us in 2016 and now are just Ecoclean, Inc). When I started, we were in primarily in the automotive and tractor companies, but now we're in MANY industries. I have been fortunate enough, through my employer, to have travelled to many places I might not have otherwise (Venezuela, Mexico, and many western European countries - Canada don't count, since its only one hour away!). I even met "ANIMAL>XI<" (COD2) in Aachen, Germany for a beer! Hoping to retire in the next couple of years! https://ecoclean-group.us/
