At least the homes in pictures are dry (at this point). May have to raise them up higher in a few years. But IF the Artic melts in a couple hundred years or so, well, they will have to move the homes inland. By then we will all be dead and gone. Mother nature has been fucking with stupid humans for years, its nothing new. People scream "Global Warming" !! Well if you look at the history of the Earths weather you would be shocked at how the Earth goes through warming and cooling cycles. Are we at a warming cycle ? Maybe. Is a cooling cycle coming ? Well yes it will, at some point. Unless we are entering the cooling cycle now ? Could be. I notice the weather here in Ohio has been cooler the past few years. So maybe in a few hundred years an Ice Age may be happening. But back to "homes on the beach" , its the chance you take for those killer views !!!2 points

Do you not use vermiculite or perlite in your substrate? Do you test for ph levels from the beginning to the end? Do you adjust for stage accordingly? Have you ever tried an ebb & flow, or flood, aquaponics, aeroponics? Have you supplemented with CO2. Even as simple as a 5-gallon bucket of sugar water innoclulated with brewer's yeast as it tolerates a higher level of alcohol before the yeast dies. Plants have been around for millions of years & can benefit from much higher CO2 levels than currently available. It dramatically increases rate of growth & yield. It also reduces the water loss through transpiration & enables them to better withstand heat & light stress. Although obvious to many, I've seen setups where air circulation was neglected, which forms a vapor barrier on the leaves, interfering with CO2 absorption. Fulvic & Humic acids are a good addition also. Innoculating a soil growing medium with mycorrhizal fungi is also great for many reasons. So many things to do to increase plant health, rate of growth & yield. Cheers.2 points

Glocks
7Toes reacted to EastCoast50 for a topic
I'm not a Glock fanboy, but I've been issued them and used them for decades ... G17, G19, G22, G23, G26, G27, G30SF. Tons of training and field use turned me into a believer of the Glock as a valid, reliable tool for self defense. Are they perfect? No ... there is no perfect firearm. Is there a better semi-auto pistol platform out there that beats a Glock? Not in my professional and personal experience. I've owned (and still own) different makes/models/calibers of handguns. However, my choice for concealed carry during -- and post-professional experience -- is a Glock. I currently carry a G26 and a G30SF. For the record, I personally recommend sticking to a 9mm or 45 ACP Glock, as the 40 S&W has proven to beat up their pistols pretty bad over time. All of these rounds are effective for both personal defense and target shooting, but I'm just speaking about the overall wear-and-tear of your pistol.1 point -

This is my newest crop. It is purple kush. The plants are completely filling my tent and they are about 6 foot tall. They are going to make a shit load of Rick Simpson's Cure all Oil. My oldest daughter has been diagnosed with cervical cancer and I am going to be giving it to her. The picture does not do these plants justice:1 point

That - although a nice plant - is not an Indica. A Sativa/Indica hybrid, possibly. (Indicas don't grow much over 6 ft.)1 point

I use the best soil for my plants, nothing else. I will take your word for it. If I tried growing outside in my yard someone would steal them. lol My tent is only 7' tall. I literally have to spread each plant out as they grow.1 point

A few days ago I was having some work done at my local garage. A blonde came in and asked for a seven-hundred-ten We all looked at each other and another customer asked, 'What is a seven-hundred-ten?' She replied, 'You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine, I have lost it and need a new one.' She replied that she did not know exactly what it was, but this piece had always been there. The mechanic gave her a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like. She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710. He then took her over to a car just like hers which had its hood up and asked, 'Is there a 710 on this car?' She pointed and said, 'Of course, its right there.' The mechanic fainted. In case you do not know what a 710 is Scroll down .1 point

I use 1/3 cattle manure and 2/3 dirt in a 5 gallon pot is what I normally use. All natural! I had issues with this grow where the plants were having issues ( they were not going to survive ) due to lack of oxygen in the dirt. Never dealt with this issue before. The miracle gro ( 1/8 of a teaspoon in 1 gallon of water, spread out between all the plants every 2 days ) helped put the oxygen back in the dirt and it showed in the plants by the next day. The next grow I will be getting new dirt and hopefully I won't have any issues!1 point

Pump Action Shotgun for home defense

A word of advice, forget the bean bag rounds. If you feel you need to use a gun it should be a lethal situation. Nobody wants to shoot someone, but no one wants to be beaten or killed by an intruder. Anyone that breaks into your home has already shown a disregard for you and your family's life.1 point -

I own a bunch of shotguns but my first and favorite and most versatile is my Remington 870 express. I bought it (OMG) 30yrs ago.... It came with 2 barrels (1 slug barrel and 1 Bird shot barrel) and a few different chokes. It never jammed in my recollection, can bang through the woods and mud/rain and still is very affordable. I deer hunt with the slug barrel (or just blow holes in shit) and Bird and skeet/trap shoot with the shot barrel. And don't let the skeet/trap shooters lead you on...with practice you can break both birds with a pump... https://www.remington.com/shotguns/pump-action/model-870/model-870-express Mine is 12 ga. So...its cheap, dependable, versatile, durable and easy as anything to use.1 point -

@@Magnus He lives in Middle Tennessee about 1hr away from me. I Met his son John at a private outdoor range in Nashville that I go to with my neighbor, who is a TN State Trooper. A bunch of those guys have their own place to shoot so it is always a lot of fun. John invited us up to his dad's place that afternoon to shoot some vintage AK's and that is where I met Greg. Really a great guy to just hang out with and as a bonus, he gets tons of different firearms from dealers and manufacturers so we get to shoot some cool shit from time to time.1 point -
