I've watched some videos to get and idea about a game when there is no demo. I think all games should have a demo. Many of the games I have are because I played the demo and loved it. Also many of the games I don't have are because the demo was crap. To me it's the best marketing of a game is to release a demo for free so people can see how great it is. I've been burned a few times when there was lots of hype about a game only to spend 40 or 50 bucks and find out its shit.
