I don't really get what the problem is?.. "well I think I post enough and play on these servers enough" - That is exactly what the post limit is. All we are doing is to prevent people joining the site and spamming the chat log with abusive messages. We are simply putting in a requirement that a user will have posted 10 times before they can use it. It is nothing more than an arbitrary number of actions to put off the bots and spammers. If someone has over 10 posts then they can use the thing.. simple. Freedom of speech has nothing to do with this. This is a technical decision being made to combat a specific thing. Freedom of Speech? Really? This isn’t the street corner where your rights are protected by a government. You don’t have freedom of speech here and it is ridiculous to assert that you should. There are rules that everyone here, members and guests like you, must follow. Also, news flash, there are parts of this website and these forums that you are excluded from. Your entire post was actually an “attack” and that doesn’t change by you terming it an “observation” which you follow with... Why be passive aggressive? If you feel you have earned some right to take shots at the leadership of XI over a small thing like this then just say it and don’t attempt to cover it by calling it an observation. There were also issues with the website in general the past several days. Duc has been working diligently on it to resolve those issues and find a solution to the chat box abuse by putting the 10 post parameter in place, a parameter that doesn't even come close to excluding someone with your post count.
