I have been looking at custom builds by companies like PC Specialist and Fierce. There is one under £600 I like by Fierce but, if I spent £300 more I could get a superior machine from the other seller with 16GB RAM. What are your thoughts on Ryzen processors, Radeon RX 570 GPUs and PSU wattage (I have been alarmed to find many around 450w when I have fitted a new 600w to my ten year-old PC)? What are these custom drives? SSHDs? YACCster 1 Awards

They are usually ok until the system is under stress and then starts the blue screens, rebooting and shut downs. Don't skimp on power, get more than you need- as power supplies age their rating decreases. ReaPeR, Blackbart, TBB and 2 others 5

The build quality is great delivered on time and after support was brilliant after my youngest son broke his (he is Autistic) I explained to them the problem and 3 days later one of there techs came out and replaced the part. I was told there would be a charge of £65 because it was his fault (brute force and temper tantrum swift kick broken power switch) not only did they replace the front panel when i called to make the payment they said no charge on this occasion. now that's good customer service. The reason i used them in the first place is you pick a system and then you can customize every single part upgrade whats important and downgrade whats not. I hope you find whatever you are looking for there is a lot to choose from Edit... What i would do is pick a system around £500 then customize it one piece at a time up to your budget you might just be surprised at how much you can get for your money Edited January 6, 2020 by baldie DEEJAYKEG 1 Awards
