Can't join ft because of sudden ping problem

About 2 days ago all the xi servers have suddenly gone up to like 400 ping for me. I used to have like 90. I haven't changed anything. Settings, PC and internet connection are still the same. 

Anyone have any idea what may have caused this? And how to fix it . I can't join now. 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is it only this server or other things?, might be your provider?

Looks like it's only the XI servers and maybe a couple more. But i can see hundreds of other servers where i'd have a very low ping in the server list. 

Don't have any problems in other games too

Looks like it shows ~98ms to the server. Have you updated anything recently?  How about a router and computer restart?

Hmmm my computer may have updated recently. Computer restart hasn't worked unfortunately. haven't tried to restart the router yet! Will give that a go

I imagine that this has not been done from your computer as your external IP doesn't appear in the list...

I had the same problem years ago and found out my server provider was throttling my service.

Looks like you are ~149-138 ms from the server according to the last hop above^

open up cod4 and run it then do a ping on the server and see if it's higher

I am 100% sure that i had between 90 and 110 ping on all the XI servers. Now there is a couple that say i have 155 and a couple that say 460 . I got in the dm server to check in there and it said 157. Can't join the ones with 460 ping tho.

So something isn't right there by the looks of it. It will probably be temporary. I had this happen for a week a few years ago when there was a problem with the London exchange. My ping was around 200ms for a week instead of in the 90's. You could maybe try using a vpn to change the route temporarily? You can get a month for really cheap these days.

Sometimes, especially in summertime, our devices can get overheated... has your computer been moved slightly more to a wall, or is your room warmer than usual?  (Dust in the machine?) Sometimes, just elevating your computer or device so it can get more cooler air is all it needs, and/or a turn off cool down then play away.  ANYHOW, C U in the maps!

Might I suggest downloading HLSW and try using it to connect http://www.hlsw.net/

ik denk dat het je internet verbinding is gap, wanneer mijn modem update oof iets anders schieten mijn pings ook omhoog, maar dit ben ook ik nog nooit gezien. probeer alles te resetten en haal je mod folder leeg met de oude mod, die twee werken niet samen. suc6 gappie

Okay so i used this one and look what it says. I guess all the red means that's where it goes wrong eh? the ones with zayo.com are f*cked up. 

I hope it just temporarily, like @Sharpe says. i'll wait it out for a bit and else i'll try the VPN.

Okay so i'm kinda clueless now. The ping went back to normal on a couple of XI servers. But it's still fucked on some others... I haven't changed anything . I checked the traceroutes for 2 ip adresses, 1 with fucked ping and 1 normal ping. 

Traceroute for the 147 FT server (fucked)

Traceroute for the MW2 DM server (works fine)

They look pretty similar too me. Am i missing something? Why does 1 work fine and is the other completely shagged? Or is it something else than the traceroute?

Does this mean that the others will be back to normal also, soon? Should i still try VPN @Sharpe?
