i wanna go back to the what second on we had ever of this mw2, omg it was the best. But up for learning new things too :)

 

If you are referring to the version with the double barrel shotgun, I agree. That is the gold standard IMHO. That being said, I really like the new mod Sammy! You did good.

You know the neverending story? Well there are also the neverending bugs. Or sometimes not really bugs but expecting more than what the game can handle. This morning I wake up to the errors that it was pushing the number of hud graphics at any one time. So time to look for making some savings or deleting unneeded stuff at the appropriate time. Those red target markers and other things can really add up.

 

Yes Hardwired will prevent the RC player from pushing the explode button. But he can still drive away or follow you around until the timer runs out. There are a couple different settings for this and I dont know which one Rugger chose.

the car doesnt seem to have much killing power. 3 times now I've blown it up next to 2 people, and it will only kill 1 or 0. The people aren't spread out either. it should kill both easily

In my opinion old mod is better, however i can accept this if lots of people like the new one. However, please change the 4 second spawn protection to 6 second, and also change to the normal speed of running. I always like to knife people behind spawn, however i can't do that now. please please at least change the spawn time and also the acr to full auto.

Why not use the scarh or steyr? Both are pretty powerful weapons.

4 seconds of spawntime.....6 was already kinda low. 4 or 0 is th same thing for me. :D

 

ACR ment to be 3 round burst?

Yes if you look at the weapon before you choose it, it says 3 round burst, can't see many using it because of that though, although in the original ftag1 mod i often played with M16 which had a 3 round burst and was very powerful, you just gotta remember to keep clicking your mouse. Normally in the old mod, i had two assualt classes. One for long range map and the other for medium range. I use the m14 for long range and acr for medium. The aug has too much mussle flash that i can't aim and the scar-l has only 20 bullets in a mag, hard to get multiple targets:D.

Why not use the scarh or steyr? Both are pretty powerful weapons.

I'm using the Scar in this mod, it don't really bother me trying to get used to a new weapon, i used the Aug for a couple of mods, before that it was tha Famas, then even further back i used the MP5 90% of the time then the M16 the rest, people get too fixed on using certain weapons, the Scar felt pretty good to me yesterday Sammy. :good:

+1 shooter. Was thinking the same thing. Would love to see the older mod switched to the other server if this one is staying on here.

What would be the point of that, we would have just wasted our time testing this new mod for ages, we have had two mods on two different servers for ages now, you just gotta get used to this mod, people moaned about the "old" mod when that was the "new" mod, they got used to it.

The acr is now full auto.

 

I wouldn't think people would come to you shooter to complain about the mod or issues with it, they come to me and let me know. Yes right now people are saying things on the server because its brand new. Just give it a little time and see what you think

 

Yes this new mod is not 100% like the old mod, but there are so many improvements over the old mod.

 

After a little tinkering here and there I think we will come up with a great mod here, so please keep voicing your opinions on what you think should be changed on the mod. If there is enough people wanting the change then we will change it. Even if that means going back to the old mod, but please give this mod more than a map or two before you give judgement on it.

Once this mod is sorted out, there is already a new version on the horizon, this version is what we have right now on the server but it adds a different way to get killstreaks. It doesn't go by kills it goes by points. So if you are a big defroster and don't ever get killstreaks well your gonna love this version, instead of getting a killstreak at 4 kills, you would get one at say 40 points. That can include kills or defrosts. So that is what will be on the chicago server once this mod gets sorted out.

the hardwired perk is supposed to protect you from EMP grenades however it does not.

 

Check your classes. Tested it without any friendly fire settings and it works ok here. Unless when this happened you were in an RC or something?

 

 

yes sammy i was referring to being in a RC car the emp protection does not work. it worked in the older mod. however if you fixed the problem with being froze after becoming human again i have no issues with emp protection not working for RC car

played it...everything seems working for now...some weapons like ak47 have non accuracy at all but i'll test them out little by little.

Its not supposed to protect the car. afaik it didnt in the older mod either, unless I missed something. The perk is supposed to protect the player.

Ok it shouldnt have since it wouldnt make sense. Why would a personal emp protector work with a car that was half way across the map? Perks dont transfer such as how sonic boom doesnt transfer to the RC explosive charge.

 

But... for the future if the idea is to introduce a super-RC of sorts, with more explosives, emp/jammer protection, better armor and others but at a killstreak requirement of 6 or something could be doable. I dont plan to add any more features but I am currently rewriting a bunch of stuff as fast as I can to take care of some asset limit problems.

 

another topic: a couple of the errors from the logs Rugger sent me deal with the Overwatch and Pavelow. At any time did either of them get stuck and just hover for the rest of the game and not leave? If so, which map?

bs aiming... in old mode not matter that you ping 50 or 160 in this mode not accurately for killing enemy from distance is bs... and if you meet a player with low ping is Big BS for european players....

why change something that works well?? server full ,every day,no complaints from players, everything was ok.. WHY??????
