You can prevent PB to start automatically.

Got to your Control Panel --> manage computer --> services. Search for both PB services in the list, right click on it --> Properties --> select "manual" from the pulldown and click on "Stop". It will take a moment until the service has been shutdown, then click "ok".

 

But then you have to go the same way to activate it if you want to play on an PB enabled server.

 

Killing the processes in the Task Manager will not work. Both PB files check if each other is running.

I think buying new CD/Key is not a guarantee that they can play. As long as no one knows exactly what happened and why the bans were applied...

 

I would wait a few days or weeks

Well this is a first for me.....i can't play for 11111117 hrs .. or some crazy shit like that ,,,,i can play on other servers though because i tried .....i hope this is fixed soon because now i can't get into any xi servers ....lovely,,,,if i was using Aimbot...it didn't work or i got the one that was broken...because i still wasn't any good..lol...hope to get this resolved soon...i miss our servers

Interesting, from the PB site......

There have been 65 ban(s) in the past 24 hours.                There have been 882 ban(s) in the past 30 days.

 

It looks like are 29 PB bans on an average day, but with this mess, there was 65 bans in a 24 hour period.......what is their reasoning that the avg. number of bans has doubled in the last 24 hours?  They suck.

 

A legit explanation for the increased bans could be that Evenbalance is executing bans against players that have been caught from silent logging. Silent logging is used in two situations, the first is when they do not want a banned player to know when they were detected and the second is when a new detection has been worked on and is now being changed to instant bans, at this point they would be banning anyone logged using the hack in the past month in one day. 

 

By no means saying that these bans are legit or not.. just saying it has been known to happen and with higher numbers in the past.

i have never ever had any warnings...or anything...or even a stern slap on the wrist...this is new to me and frankly its quite embarrasing....let alone i can't play in any xi servers for 111111 gazilion minutes or some fucky crap...never used Aim bot ever and if i was it was broken or i got a shitty one because i still couldnt' hit shit,,,,it banned me for three minutes first the when i came back in it banned me for 113777 minutes or something...went into another server and played for a while no probs...back into the warfare 2 freezetag server banned there too,,,so what now?

just went into a server with pb running...or so it said...so i don't know.....only 1111158 minutes to go...unreal,,,,both xi servers say the same,,,some how i don't think updating p.b or buying a new key [wouldn't  know where to anyways almost extinct] will change a thing....so endeth my clean record..i feel soiled...lol

Hell guy's sorry but I wont be playing cod4 for a long while.....I aint getting banned for nothing or risking my record or guid.

And thats the sad part I can see our members moving away from cod4 if this keeps up....which could mean empty servers

hate to say it but if this continues mayb pb will have to be removed or we could see a decline in cod4 servers...as more ppl keep popping up with bans as the days go by..i know 2 more xi members that got the same aimbot as of late friday round 8 or 9pm..est time...rascal jr and her dad..so now we have 5 xi members and multiple regs of cod4 ftag servers ....this is goin to start to scare ppl away that for sure..

You will see many topics because COD4 has been neglected by PB of late re detections for cheats.
Since even balance adopted their silent logging tactic, a large influx of cheat violations is more like the norm instead of a rarity these days, especially in more modern games like BF3 / MOH:warfighter etc.

Even Balance obtain information for cheats, create a detection pattern, and initiate "silent logging"
Every time someone uses their "undetectable" cheat, that players pbguid is logged and no further action is taken.
When the detections tail off, Even Balance issue a cheat violation on every pbguid that was detected during the silent logging phase.
That's why we see a lot of Even Balance detections come in "en masse".

It's rare for a detection pattern to be flawed but it does happen.
Even Balance have already checked the detection pattern for #50710 once and told us its valid.
They are in the process of double checking it once again.
Our own staff members have been trying to raise a cheat violation on their own pbguid without success, by playing with the same software running that players are blaming for this cheat violation (it's a long list)
Now you are as well informed as anyone else re violation #50710

If #50710 is found to be a false positive your ban will be removed immediately and your forum status set to member, but until that happens our policy is to set anyone who appears on the PBBans ban list to restricted.
It's not you flaming that we are preventing ... it's other forum users who have not raised a cheat violation flaming you

yea i found some old forums last nite and saw that bf3 went thru this same aimbot mass ban last january with pb...wish i remember where i found them so i could post it here to show ppl this is not first time this has happend to innocent ppl by pb...im sure it wont be the last either as i seen multiple times this has happend on pb and ggc ran servers..via pbbans forums
