"Second Assult" Information

- 5 weapons re-mastered for Battlefield 4
- Dune Buggy (DPV) vehicle makes its return to the Battlefield
- Capture the Flag game mode
- 10 new assignments with their own unlocks

The speedy DPV (Desert Patrol Vehicle) is making a return in Battlefield 4 Second Assault. Last time we saw it was in the Battlefield 3 expansion Back to Karkand.

 

Second Assault contains four immortal, fan-favorite maps from Battlefield 3; Operation Firestorm, Caspian Border, Gulf of Oman and of course Operation Metro. Each map has been redesigned thanks to the power of Frostbite 3 and is now more stunning than ever. Battlefield 4 veterans will recognize the surroundings, but also notice various changes – big and small – in map layout.

Release date not yet officialy released!

My guess and what has been floating around the rumor Mill is that it will be released in February roughly around ~Feb. 11th

 

Also rumored is that the rank cap will be increaced to 120.

 

This is all compiled information that i have researched and found and will update when more info becomes available.

Good because some of these BF4  maps are only average to say the least, BF3 maps kick BF4  maps arse without doubt.

really bill i think it play's real nice for what they have done ...the bate was shit but the game run's fine for me ..and it is getting better ,,but like all new games it needs work..but all in all its cool.

I love frostbite 3 and dice... the low points of the game is not dice's nor is it frostbites fault. it is EA's fault to want DICE to release a game when it was not ready to compete with COD

they are not fan favorite. on vote poll. metro bazaar siene and casp was on top of the list. gulf and firestorm were all the way in the bottom. why would you even like those maps. and they still chose the worst maps. despite this game lacks infantry map

I will be honest I never had a chance to play BF3 and have not played BF regularly since BF2 / BF2142. So I am really excited to play these additional maps. I loved the map from BF2 and really look forward to Metro. Hopefully I can upgrade my PC soon so I can start playing on Ultra

Terrible map selections... metro is a terrible map, I've always disliked it, it was always a matter of who got to the stairs first, they'd just hold it on either side and lock down the game. Yay that's so much fun...

 

Grand Bazaar though was awesome, plenty of ways around, and the battles you could have in the Allyway was just pure epic. Just thinking of the kills I used to rake up there makes my eyes shine... xD - So why they didn't go with that one instead...

 

As to the release date, if they pop it out for PC come this Feb. I'll be really surprised. I don't think there's going to be anykind of DLC releases until Mid March, or until they feel they have á better handle on the overall stability of the game.

 

That's not to say that one isnt needed now.... China rising maps were awesome. (much better than the default maps) but they're kind of getting tiring to play.. or is that just me?

 

Personally, if they aint got some new stuff drawing me in by 04.04. - I'm gonna be spending most of my time on another game......
