Hey Everyone I just wanted to take the time to ask for prayers for my amazing wife Jody. She was diagnosed with a form of leukemia last Friday. This came as shock for she has always been in the best of health and still is. We are hopeful for a good prognosis but we know we are in a long battle. She is the strongest person know. Updated yesterday, opened laptop today...black screen. Did a hard reboot by holding power button down...turned back on, now it says "Restoring your previous version of Windows..." sooooo I guess it didnt update. I run 7 on this one...and 7 stays on this one

That is not how I see it and I never will. Turn that auto / check for updates off !!! I know many just try to set "Windows Update" to manual, but that wont stick. Windows 10 will restart the damn thing. Here is the only way I could get Windows 10 updates to stop and stay that way. Go to services and double click "Windows Update",force it to stop, then choose the "log on tab". Check the "This Account" box, then in that field type .\Guest In the password field leave it as is. Though the password field generates characters, they dont function. Just leave them. Click apply and thats it. Hope it helps.
