Well 10 years into the computer I built it is finally crashing and now time for the upgrade as the parts come this week and by the weekend the new machine should be running. There are plenty of servers out there with a lot of rules like these. They can be found in your server browser, just look for the one’s with no players.

Hi @papithegun, having to do this because :- 1/. You posted problem on a specific site (not general) and only BF4 people can answer you 2/. When I go the your profile I cannot find where to pm you ???? Your ssd is small, especially for Windows 10 and on any hard drive you need to leave about 10% free always regardless, you say you have a 1Tb drive, well pop it in, computer should recognise it as 'D', use 'C' your ssd drive for your operating system only and load other programmes on 'D'. For games you do this at the start, it will ask you where you want to load it, usually something like C/Activision/WAW etc, all you do is highlight the C, change it to D and set it off, it will load that programme on the 1Tb, if you get stuck pm me.

@Sammy And, with this new perk, can we steal the gamer's skill all together with the tac nuke? PS: the good thing with this perk is that I won't be stolen a nuke ever... since I never succeed at getting one. PPS: can you steal a nuke which was stolen from someone else? Anyway, thanks for your time and efforts to make the game better for us all!

Going to do my best to get 1.47 beta online for people to play. Going to be a busy week packing everything and getting ready for the move north next Monday. Suggested to Rugger a new perk. Sounded like a neat idea to him so we are going to try it out. Its a little complicated to keep it balanced. And what is it? Its called 'Heist'. Its in tier 2 (scavenger moved to 1 so 8 perks per tier). Some rules: Once you spawn you can steal one killstreak, and only one, from a frozen player in that lifetime. If you die you lose it. You must be in proximity, like defrosting or care packages. Same 'timer bar'. It is a separate streak, not part of the three. The frozen player must have at least one award to take. If more than one available, the one taken is random among them. You wont know if a player has a streak until you try. Also you wont know what it is until you complete. Weapons disabled while you make the attempt. Consistent with other things. Oh and yes it includes the tac nuke, *IF* you dont already have one. So you cant have two at the same time. It might be a fun little bit of chaos. Or people might hate it. I guess it depends on whether or not you succeed in stealing a Reaper from Sharpe, or if he steals one from you. Might also depend on whether or not you succeed in stealing a nuke from the usual suspects that shall remain nameless. It might also encourage people to use them a little quicker lest they get stolen. If you snipe, or camp from a distance, the perk obviously does you no good. Though you might be generous and another friendly might get it.

2700X is a damn good chip. I probably would of went with 1 of the i7 8700k combos for $40 more. Just because 4.7ghz boost clock and most games that I play are optimized for intel CPUs.

I have to say that the old Rambo movies have a special place in my heart...ok its not realistic but it was good entertainment. It was before we get flooded with those Marvel comic-type movies. But milking it is milking it. The Star wars universe now focuses much on stuff like love stories and funny robots/critters to catter to the young crowd.... Like the Alien movies franchise...1,2,3 were good, 4 was so so, then you have Aliens Vs Predator stuff, Prometheus is also revolving around the alien universe. Nowadays, there isn't a hole lot of great coming out of Hollywood. TV shows are pretty good nowadays.

Greetings, Thank you Kill. This is the appropriate place for a topic like this. I don't play on MW2 much, so I'll leave that for others. I will say that the P90 in the hands of an expert (like Sally) is awesome! We could all make those same shots, IF we practiced and perfected it as she has. Everyone has bits that they don't like, tubers, claymores, shotties, sniper, whatever. I applaud you for bringing it to the forums and in true XI fashion everyone has their say. Only three changes I would like to see to the current MOD (if I were king and you had to all listen to me): 1) Change to the car so it thaws only or explodes and kills only, but doesn't do both 2) Do the same for the pred - make a "defrost" version that lets you thaw one player out if you want. Most people use the pred for the 6 seconds of spawn pro anyway 3) And last, but most important, BRING BACK THE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN!

Sure there have been plenty of servers that do that. But its not something for here. Jump shooting is a perfectly valid play style. One thing people need to keep in mind is that difficulty levels should keep pace with skill. When bunny hopping and making kills becomes too easy and rote because people have simply gotten very good at it then perhaps its time to make it a little harder. Kind of like playing CoD SP games. If you completed the last time on 'easy' are you done with it? Or do you bump the difficulty up to 'normal' and play again? One thing you dont ever want a server to become is 'routine'. Change things up to make it fresh. Dont let the chaos become stale. Some things will work and be fun, some things will not. I would like to think that a lot of people come here because there are a lot of unique features. Especially the streaks. People love their streaks. But also because the rules arent draconian and pretty open so long as you arent a cheater and/or abusive to other players. And of course there is no substitute for good admins. Its also in my humble opinion probably the most advanced version of freezetag out there. So I doubt any update is going to empty the server. As for a 'winning thing', remember how some people whined like little babies when the server was 'forced' to the current 1.46 version? At that time, the old version was 'the best'. Despite the bugs and significantly worse map compatibility. New isnt always better. Then again, neither is old. The defrost airburster strike was revisited as a stand-alone streak award. Not as an expansion of the mininuke that both defrosts and kills. There are already enough complaints about the car.

Nope I havent done anything regarding jumping. Or hopping around like a little bitch I put it. As for any changes to it anyways, well the big mac hasnt changed in forever because people still buy it. Still a terrible burger tho.

I don't see the speed or the jumping ever changing on this server, I can't wait for the new mod to come out and hear all about how things are fucked up for each person, but really they are a lot better for the over all gameplay of the server. Great job Sammy! Thank you for putting your time and effort into this mod and server we all really appreciate it even though all you hear about most of the time is the bad things from people.

Well........ I think I posted this all elsewhere. The car divided into two. Explosive OR defroster. Both at 3 kills. In line with the uav and sentry. And since the defroster car is essentially defenseless it is quieter and more health. So you have a choice. Get your kill but you wont help your team. This isnt a new idea of course and has been talked about for awhile. Stealth reworked vs betties etc. If you walk, it wont see you. If you run then its detection range is cut to 1/2 but you arent immune. And just to remind people currently if you have stealth, but fire an unsilenced weapon, sentries and helis will see you for a few seconds. The current Saritch *IS* a little bugged in a couple circumstances due to an error on my part that I didnt know about. Player damage changed a little. Shots to hands/feet are ignored. Lower arms/legs 1/2. However headshots and the neck are automatic kills armor or not regardless of weapon. Care Package removed to allow room for different streaks and its a bit redundant. Instead the Strike Package dropped down to 5 kills. Due to popular demand I made up an airstrike defroster (no damage just friendly defrosts). Same kill requirement as the B2. Combat Medic is admittedly problematic due to different map sizes. Also the mentioned 'post-streak' one. The reason for the post streak protection is to go with the default setting of you standing there with the pad (BO and all the others) and vulnerable while using it. That doesnt apply here of course. *IF* everybody thinks its a real problem I am open to ideas on doing a different approach to the extra perk spawn protection. I tried a method where the final two seconds you are seen, without a raised weapon, but you cannot be damaged. Of course those that are obsessed with that perk hated it. Posted a vid. SAMs will shoot down packages if close enough and if its at a good angle. A couple additional things it will go after if the circumstances are right. As for jumping, I didnt mess with that because its up to the clan whether or not to reset jumping to the game default (the old 'way it was meant to be played' arguments) that slows you down on the second jump. Currently it doesnt due to server settings. Again, if this is a real problem you could do something where you dont change hopping but maybe lower the accuracy a bit. And as for why I spend time now and then still working on this, I enjoy the problem solving and the challenge. For the spawn camper thing, which might make the whole combat medic issue moot, just occured to me that it might be possible to make up some kind of 'warning' for your spawn area. If an enemy makes a kill inside of a certain radius of spawn you will see a printed message like you would for incoming airstrikes. "Enemy in your spawn area" or something like that. But again only if that enemy makes a kill. So if you want to hide out in their spawn area and do nothing but defrost there wont be a warning. Spawn camping is permitted, per the rules, but a little heads-up wont hurt.
