Do you believe that governments should do nothing to try to slow the spread? For most people, yes, it will probably be mild and nothing to worry about, but when ICUs are getting overrun and they are having to choose one person over another to have access to ventilation, I imagine that is an awful scenario for medical personnel to go through. The US isn't there yet, but this is what looks like is happening Italy, and what governments are trying to prevent elsewhere.

My Nursing home that I work at has prohibited visitors. Absolutely no one and we have isolated people to their rooms. So sad. But it's the elderly that suffer more from this so glad we are using precautions like this.

OK Snowflakes the following are facts, ask your parents or Grandparents :- Long long ago, in a time where commonsense reigned and the only communication was newspapers, if a child in your street got measles or chickenpox etc etc your Mummy (who would now be prosecuted for neglect) took you along with the neighbours kids to play with them. Lo and behold you hopefully caught it, had a short bad time but your immune system built up the antibodies so that for the rest of your life you were immune, mumps were of special importance to boys. In fact sometimes suckling mothers swapped kids for some feeds so that their antibodies were passed to other children, we learned about this long ago. This is a fact, anything nasty will kill you if your body can't resist it, so in fact giving it to younger people should be encouraged and a natural immunity will follow, however this will not stop any virus from mutating and becoming a killer again. A commonsense approach would be to isolate all weak and susceptible people and let the others go about their business, this gives them time to become immune and an antidote discovered. I personally cannot understand, especially in the modern world trying to isolate all populations, it is obvious to a blind man that this is not and never will work, let nature get on with it, we'll survive.

So my first comment about this is that you either have 8TB of unprotected storage, or 4TB of protected storage. If not setup in a RAID configuration you risk losing a LOT of data if a drive fails. If you don't care if you lose data, then the 8TB unprotected configuration might be okay. Two reasons I wanted a home NAS. 1). Ease of access from any computer in the house. 2). Data protection (i.e. RAID and snapshot backup). Snapshots are good if someone fat fingers and deletes a file, you can easily recover a file from snapshot backup (deleted files on NAS mounted drives will not go to recycle bin when deleted). Drobo are popular. They just didn't have an affordable configuration for the amount of space I needed. So I purchased a bunch of Western Digital 'RED' drives and downloaded FREENAS (it's free) and have been using it ever since. I put the RED drives inside an older retired gaming computer and installed FREENAS. RED drives are designed to be powered on and run 24x7. Traditional desktop drives are not designed for that purpose. Lots of tutorials on how to set it up and use it. I also grabbed a retired disk array from work and connected it externally. FREENAS picked it right up and now I have 51TB of storage. I am comfortable doing this sort of thing as I am a Storage Engineer for a large pharmaceutical company....this is what I do for a living.

Here's a good way to look at it. My Kids think I'm overreacting by paying a lot of attention to social distancing not touching my face well trying to not touch my face and washing my hands way to much. If my kids get it they might not even know it or they might get sick. Me on the other hand stand a very good chance of dying. I'm over 60 and have what they like to call mitigating issues. I actually have two out of the top four that kill . Not bad but I do have them. So if I get this right now I'll get really sick hit the ICU and hopefully get out. Ta Da I now have some type of immunity to this thing. Trust me I'm not totally against this method. Just wish my odds were a bit better. I get this thing when it hits our city big time. I doubt there will be a bed for me. A respirator no way plus I do not want to take one away from anybody. So life to me is important very important so this is very very serious stuff. Just because it won't do much to you does not mean it won't hurt other people. The worse thing I've heard is it just kills old people. I like old people there funny and like to tell great stories. I do not want to see them die because some people think this is going over board. I like many have lost a lot of money because of this. Because of my age I do not think I will get it back . And that's just fine by me if it helps slow this thing down so the pros can do their thing and keep as many people alive as possible. Lets help out everybody that needs it anyway we can. I concur with the RED drives. I have for storage a synology 4 bay NAS in raid 5 with btrfs file system. The btrfs makes things run slightly slower, but it's better at preventing corruption over time. I have a separate media pc that I use for the plex that reads from the NAS, but I have several people that can access my plex so I wanted something beefer than just using the NAS for hosting.

Ok so I run a server for all my music movies tv shows photo's ect. I use something called Plex For the tv side of stuff its Plex https://www.plex.tv/ For music if you have a bluetooth or wifi enabled stereo system I use mediamonkey and mediamonkey remote so you can change the music from your phone or tablet anywhere in the house. If your stereo is neither of those Mine is also lack luster I just use bluetooth transmitters a easy thing to do. So using those you can run an inexpensive old tower computer as you media storage device. All that for a lot less than a nas a lot less. And that old tower computer is more than capable of serving anything you have. I even serve my house and 3 other house. All they need is anything that can run plex. Most smart tv's already have the app on them all tv boxes can add plex. Its just awesome and its free. You can even start today on the pc you now have, Add a few movies to a library set up plex on the PC and the TV give it a try. Little disclaimer here I do have 1 gig down and 750 meg up fiber so I don't have an issue with bandwidth. HAve fun My family And grandkids and a few friends love it. I have over a 1000 movies and I do not know how many tv shows I think I now have more than Prime tv anyway. ( I have been doing this for over ten years though and keep everything)

Its not a Pandemic. It is people freaking out over virus. So they freak out on the market. They freak out and buy 10 years of toilet paper. The people that turn around and sell toilet paper and hand sanatizer online for tons of money are the people to be sick about.

synology IMO is the best. they support their os with many updates and it just works well. I have the 218+ witch is a dual core and it can trans code for plex, but it maxes out easily. the 718+ can trans code and has a quad core processor plus you can upgrade the ram if you need it. The 2 things i wish i did different at time of purchase is: quad core processor 4 bay nas at the time it wasn't in the budget. I have that model and it works well. Synology has its own 'raid' format. However, if movies are your goal keep in mind that this model doesnt have the cpu power to transcode higher bitrate video for Plex into whatever format your playback device requires. Going from a bluray rip to an ipad likely wont work. Also if it needs things like captions or subs. They need to be burned into the video stream and transcoded if the playback device cant handle it. And yes, get the RED drives for stability and reliability.

RC car doesn't blow up people with ballistic armor, you just get a hit marker. I don't use CP because they are unreliable, I don't like unpleasant surprises. Guarding the CP stresses me out anyway. @Sammy, the mini-nuke used to be OP then it was just nerfed in an attempt to make it more balanced. It's a very undesirable killstreak now. I miss being able to defrost from Predator, AGM, AS. I don't know why you took them out. I also hate that sometimes the map terrain will trigger that shit about not being able to get in your KS (car, predator, agm). It taunts you with that dorky message about trying to exploit the jump.

Its a car with expanded abilities. +%50 health. Immune to jamming. Greater explosive power and range. The attack package tilts weights more in favor of higher value lethal streaks compared to the care package. All non-lethal awards are omitted. The car is the only award whos 'normal' version would be 3-kill. Thus the higher health, anti-jammer and power. All the rest are 5-11 (so 8, +/- 3), and the tac nuke. But in the end, packages are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get. If this is not workable I suggest you dont buy the box. ?
