Voting to be Number one Clan

The thing about being number one is that if we actually reached that mark, we would have a ton more people coming to our servers, on the web site, and wanting to join. More members is a good thing, but at a slow steady pace. I doubt if we would handle all of the additional traffic with our current staff.

 

Maybe the senior staff feels differently but I think it might create more problems for us.

We are Number 1 clan, number 1 PC  clan, we can't compete with these 2 console clans above us, they have too many members and their votes seem to strangely jump up in blocks of 100's, so lets not worry about it, we are a PC  clan and we are top.

I used to vote daily, then a year or two ago a few of our own members (dont recall who it was) decided to try "spoof" voting to jack up our numbers because all of a sudden we were losing to a console clan and they said the console clans were spoof voting. I stopped voting that day and havnt voted since. Like i said, i dont need a webpage to tell me who the best clan is.

we are the #1 clan in great people, and to me xboxers don't even enter my mind....our video cards cost more than those lame asses console junk...they have to buy xdollars...lmao...since i pay for my internet ...i wouldn't even consider buying online gaming time.....my sister is always purchasing x box dollars for my nephew to play games online...pc gamers are just that...a class of our own...fuck the other tit heads surveys,,,,kids voting fifty times each with different names...seen it watched it ,,,so remember gang we are a pc clan..not,' a haven't had a good lay as yet clan',XI is and always will be the best clan for great people that are here for a reason,, dedication and friendship.,,,,i love this clan...have met so many good people that it would be a shame to forget any of my XI brothers and sisters,,,xbox and playstation noobers..really don't count.

we have this discussion every year .in fact we were convinced the numbers were being manipulated and we basically took a vote here and decided to  not even participate in voteing at that site since its pointless and the numbers dont add up.what happened since then ?i dont see the advantage to a site no-one goes to.i mean i wasnt  and probably none of you were even aware of  this voteiing site till it was brought to your attention here and we are all old timers on the internet,so what does that tell ya/i dont need that site to tell us we have a great clan and people that come here know we are when they come about .do you think it will increase our trafic and membership here.has the tracking data from there site to out site increased and shown a rise in registration and trafic or membership linked to the trafic on that site to our site??who can track that somehow?

I do not vote because I do not want to - simple as that. Nothing to do with how hard it is or how I feel of XI. 

 

There are many features on the website, on the servers and throughout XI that some members do not use because they simply do not want to - why would I remove them because not everyone uses them?

Johnny, as I have stated before, this is no more than a "pissing competition" and its outcome says nothing about the calibre of our clan or its membership.

I am disappointed you think those of us who don't see any worth in participating are disloyal, "non-dedicated" and "very lazy".

 

I am also in agreement with LOM's opinion above that seeking to attract many more visitors would not necessarily be a good thing.  At times, it is problematic

for existing members to play on our busy servers.  For the same reason, all the while that the servers are attracting players, I see rejoicing about server ranks

as illogical.  The higher the ranking, the more difficult it is to play on ones own clan's servers and the busier the admins become.

 

If the Senior Admins wish to grow the clan like a business, they should say so.  I don't believe that has ever been the case.

With that attitude you would have us remove anything that comes into question or causes minor disturbances (yes.. this is a minor disturbance, nothing more). 

 

There are people in the clan which dislike each and every server we run, each and every feature on the website, the website itself, Facebook, Teamspeak.. everything. We are a diverse clan and as such this sort of thing will come up. 

 

I do not see why you are requesting the feature removed just because a some disagree with your views on it (if that is the reason) - again I will say that I do not think this is a problem.. merely a minor disturbance. The reason for the disturbance is some, like myself, have read the comments in the thread and disagree with them - such as being lazy for not voting - not the feature itself.
