Opinions on the new MW2 server 74.208.70.133:28960

I need honest opinions here please. 

 

What are your feelings on this new server compared to the old server. Please don't post that your ping is higher because ping really doesn't matter unless you are like 100 or 200 points higher which I don't see happening from moving from New York to Pennsylvania. 

 

I would also like to hear the good of the server also, since most of the time we will only hear about the bad and it will make the server look like its really bad but really its only a couple people out of hundreds that are experiencing the issues.

hit registration is bad, i would say even worse then the old version beside that i think it is nearly alike. Didn't noticed any lags or lagspikes.

yea i agree with weed and pink...my hit registry not good and my ping is almost 40 points higher its very choppy for me...personally i do like the servers being in ny its good medium for euro players as well as americans imo...just wished they get those dos attacks sorted just i.m.o

my ping is about 30 higher - i dont care, cause if its 140 or 170 doesnt affect my gameplay.

i hit more, but also die more.

 

for the lags or CIs ... like i worte in the other post, i dont realize them, only one small today (about 3hours ago).

 

the server works fine for me, i have fun and like both. If there wuld be no prob with the attacks ill be fine with each one - as long as i can play

For me it was a better ping.  I've got a 100MB Time Warner connection but would ping in the 120's to old server with frequent lag spikes.  I'm pinging in the 70's now.  I played for about 2 hours last night and had 4-5 lag spikes (very brief).  For me personally, I prefer this server over the New York one..

yea but now i m getn ping spikes as high as 300 never had those on ny servers...its just too laggy for me

i have to add to my former post: it get more laggy, some short CIs in the last hour, but there were now many ppl (more than 25) playing and many aristrikes and stuff.

 

I am happy with this one as long as it lasts and appreciate, that u guys make it possible for us to play on the temporary server, thx alot!

First of all my ping is better now, used to be at 100 now im at 70 which is wayyy better for me! although i gotta admit there has been several lag spikes every once in while, sometimes im really good and get a HUGE lag spike where i go to 300! but anyways good ping for me  

2. One change i would like to make an opinion of taking that DOT in middle of my screen, its kinda annoying, i guess its good for some players to shoot better, but i mean if server is hardcore mode i dont think that helps and just gets in the way  

3. Other than that server is amazing! been having fun (like usually) thank for the hardwork. 

 

4. oh yea forgot to add this! i really dislike the helmet perk haha just saying its frustrating adding so much protection.

We are working on a more permanent fix that would move the server from this data center back to New York, but it will take a couple days to get this sorted and we might loose the B3 bot stuff but we will have to see

That stupid noob screen crosshairs must. Be. Destroyed! All it does it put me and alot of people off. I talked to and he made us aware that it will prob be there till we move server, that's ok as long as it's not permanent

I wouldnt play it as much at its current location ,  i dont know what you guys are renting i would assume a dedicated box or a VPS, surely not per server. but most data centers arent set up for game hosting and game servers are the only real  target of ddos so you have to find a datacenter that actually puts safe gaurds up for ddos and gaurantees against it other wise when you put your game servers up and then they get ddos attacked the data center gets butt hurt and tosses you out to make the rest of the customers happy.

I just left this server...my ping was about the same as it usually is...110 or so...but players were lagging all over the map....teleporting right before your eyes to a spot 10 feet in front of where they just were.

server has been fine for me,   ping down from 150 ish to 115 or less.   in high 90 some times .   i actually hit a few things now.  lol.

Alright guys, at this point theres nothing for me to do but to give up for a while i will be back on freezetag when where back to our normal freezetag. Hope it gets fixed soon..

Restarted server with script fix files. Should take care of all the old issues but there is nobody on the server to check things out. But all the usual 'higher ping' stuff, no.
