Need to do that to my previous computer, and clean up the wiring to make me feel better about it!! Need to wait until it warms up a bit though, because I really don't want the multiple inches of accumulated dust blown around my house! LOL

Literally just finished building almost the exact same rig!! Same power supply, same processor, same motherboard chipset, same m.2 SSD (I went with the 500gb though), same memory size.... Differences are: Asus TUF Pro Gaming z390 motherboard g.Skill Trident Z RGB 16gb Gigabyte GTX 1070 video card Samsung 970 Evo 500GB m.2 Western Digital Black 2TB drive Windows 10 Pro 64bit. DIYPC Vanguard-V6-RGB Steel/Tempered Glass Mid Tower w/ 3x RGB 120mm fans Up and running and doing AWESOME!!! Haven't gamed on CoD4 yet. Been trying out all the newer games that are out there that I couldn't before lol

Wait for the 7nm Ryzen 2 cpu's ,when these chips come out you can decide to buy the newest one or go for a 2700x for a much lower price . When u go for a 8c/16t or more you should at least take a X*** mobo because of the better vrm's ,imho is a Asrock X470 taichi a good buy . A verry good case is the Fractal design R6 ,it has plenty of space ,its silent ,and suberb for watercooling . On that point i am in the same position ,should i go for the 2600 or wait for the new one ? ,but that's for my seccond rig wich is being used for lan-party's . My main rig is still with the 1700x OC @ 4GHz ,and in combination with a GTX1060 6G it works fine for me .

Upgraded the SSD to the Samsung EVO 970 500GB! Only about £40 ish more.? Couldn't justify an extra £175 for the 1TB. ? Still haven't told the wife yet, treating her to Captain Marvel today so today might be the day... ?

It was a great game. It was one of the first really fun games I played. It's a first person shooter, and you could build some friendships in there.

I have three versions of UT on my computer. I still play here and there. The last group I was in crapped out. Too bad, but it happens, it lost it's luster. I would love to play with a decent group. Let me know when you are ready!!

I love(d) UT2k4. Just closed down my server about 1 year ago after many, many years. I had lots of different mods and weapons trying to keep people interested but people eventually just lost interest in playing it. I must admit though, it was fun with the regulars I gamed with on a weekly basis. Lots of laughs and good times.

Geez, I did not expect to visit the site and read this sad news. I knew Mac had a tough time and that he'd been fighting back for a long time now. I'm so sorry to learn he is gone. My deepest sympathy to Mac's family and all who loved him. He will be greatly missed here by his >XI< family. Rest in peace big guy, the fight is over and you can truly be in peace now.

Have you thought about Star Trek Online? There are all sorts of quest options from space combat to landing party quests. There's a lot to do in it. I haven't played for a while but I've been toying with the idea of getting back into it.
