If you want vanilla gameplay then our servers aren't really the place to be, they are all modded in some way or another. As for experimentation.. if we never changed anything then nothing would change. That would be boring. Sounds like you have got your knickers in a twist that it affected something you disagreed with lol

BIG is not a problem ? problem we always face is people coming together...Most will but are slow to respond so for now we need to focus on getting people in that server

Depending on how big you want this tournament I can send out a mass pm to everyone and ask for people to sign up. I would just need a solid date and time that would work for everyone including overseas. If you just wanna keep this small that is totally fine too.
