  2. I really don't know this show but wasn't she married to Burt Ryenolds?
  3. It depends on 3 things. Your video card, your cable, and your monitor. All 3 must support DP v2.1. Your link speed will fall to the lowest supported rate of those 3 items. From what I remember from previous posts you have a RTX5070, which does support DP/HDMI v2.1 Did you end up getting the Omen 27q or 27qs? or something else? Both of those only support up to DP v1.4/HDMI v2.0 (I have the Omen 27qs as my primary monitor) Ahh, I just remembered....I knew I was forgetting something.... DSC (Display Stream Compression). Using this compression you could send higher resolution/refresh rates that aren't technically allowed via the raw bandwidth limits. I could see someone saying that that's not "real DP v2.1", which technically, it isn't. The RTX5070 definitely supports this, I do believe the 27qs supports it as well...As example, If you have a 1440p @240Hz monitor with HDR enabled, that requires ~26.5Gbps of bandwidth...with overhead it ends up a little over 32.4Gbps and you would enter into DSC mode (which may cause issues like flickering or stuttering). Without HDR would be about 19.5Gbps which would not enter into DSC mode. Now putting the pieces together from issues in your recent posts regarding gameplay issues...If you have HDR enabled and using the full 240Hz on a 27q(s) (or other DP1.4 1440p 240Hz+ monitor) then that may be your issue...try turning off HDR... And pardon my Autism....I keep writing and re-writing in my head and can never settle on the "perfect" answer, if there is such a thing, lmao!
  4. Here's the download page GPU-Z Graphics Card GPU Information Utility
  5. So, where is the link so we wildcat guys can test ours?
  6. Yesterday
  7. Yeah with DP mine shows link speed but not with HDMI. My monitor says it's 2.1 but I have heard about some not being real 2.1 with not full speed support.
  8. GPU-Z will show current link speed in the 'Advanced' tab Edit: Just noticed that it doesn't show my secondary monitor connected via HDMI in that section. So maybe it only displays info for DP connections....or the fact that my 2nd monitor is very old and uses a DVI to HDMI cable.... Edit2: Just to be clear, in my screenshot it shows 8.1gbps link speed...but also important to know that that's for each lane...since there are 4 lanes it's a total bandwidth of 32.4gbps or DP v1.4. So be sure to multiply your link speed by the number of lanes to get your total bandwidth.
  9. I saw a homeless man & I asked him if I gave him $50 would you buy booze? He said no he hadn't had a beer in years. Then I said if I give you $50 will you buy motorcycle parts? He again said no, he got rid of his sled 15 years ago. So then I said I'll do you better than $50. I'll take you home get you all cleaned up. My wife will cook a fantastic meal for you. Then I'll bring you back & still give you $50. He asked me, won't she get mad? I said it didn't matter. I just wanted her to see what happens to a man when he stops drinking or riding motorcycles !
  10. I know the specs of cables but that doesn't mean it's what I am getting to the pc. I don't have amd GPU anymore and when I did it's software showed the speeds of cable I was getting. Don't see it on Nvidia control panel/app or GPUz.
  11. Well Pete it has been a blast all these years and it is sad to see you go. May you continue to find blessings on your travels!
  12. The last monitor I bought came with 2 different cables, one for hdmi and display port...
  13. Whats with all the drama? Dude turned in his tags in and that is it. Wishing you all the best Pete, never really got to know you but always knew you did a shit ton for this clan/server(s). Have a good one and who knows we might shoot eachother someday
  14. U are a hell of a guy, PimpedOutPete and it has always been great playing with you. There's not a lot of soldiers left from back in the days and people will miss you being around. I don't say this quick, but take Rockapes message in consideration mate. Trust me, it's worth keeping the tags. Just sit back and relax, there will be a day you need them. All good to you sir, thanks for the good times!
  15. Krunch was right, it is the spec of the cable. Plus need to know the spec of the monitor. If the cable is higher than the monitor can display, the display will throttle.
  16. @BUDMAN don't make jealous with those speeds , nycz was talking hdmi speed for streaming i guess no stutter
  17. need special equipment or a $70 hand held unit search your local area for those services
  18. The best thing you can do is drop COMCAST
