  10. I LOVE BOONE, NC. It is currently 170 miles away from me about 3 hours drive - winding roads a bit why it takes so long. BOONE, NC is so... Scottish imho (best that can be found for a town in North Carolina, I KNOW, nothing like Scotland, but still, seems Scottish to me a bit.) Where I learned to ski and my love affair with skiing began. GREAT INN! LOVE IT! Thanks Crimson Scottish Highland Games this year info --> https://gmhg.org/schedule/ My hubby is half scottish, and I am scottish from the McCrimmon family on my moms side. (On my dad's side, my great, great, great, great grandfather's will showed a rifle given to him by Daniel Boone, lol. My ancestor was quite a man. Scottish descent but born in Ireland. "First white man in Kentucky, was the leader of 12 in two canoes went down Miami River to Licking, they all claimed lands along those rivers and creeks and settled KY." Quite a bunch of stories about him I found in the Library of Congress (and National Archives.) Another thing cool in the area especially with kids in tow is Tweetsie Railroad. Lots more than anyone cares about to read, sorry. OFF TO GAME
  11. As I age my hearing gets worse. I hear about 30% at best. One Dr told me I have a lot of sound recognition loss. I have been trying to find a way to watch TV and play my games with sound. The headsets still don't give me what I need. I am trying the earbud style but there is a problem with those. When I first put them on I put them where I can hear pretty well. After a few minutes though the tend to fall out of my ears. I have large channels and for many years I thought that was the problem with my hearing. The Dr tells me that that usually means the sound is getting in but why not to my eardrums? Well, the earbuds direct the sound to my eardrums but they fall out. My question is is there a liquid rubber to smear on the earbuds that hold them in place? And then is it safe to use in my ears? Please I would very much like to find a way to make these earbuds work as they are the best I have found so far.

  16. Always this when running old games. Always do this. I've never had a problem with steam, and I've been using it for about 12 years now - and the only issue I get is when it says steam can't be found. But that's just an easy fix to throw some Steam dll files in the games directory and its rare that happens. Sadly, you need Steam open to play Steam bought games, and as mine is open all the time its no bother to me. Honestly, Laz, if you get any issues with Steam just let me know. Getting CoD2 to run on Steam can be problematic as there is a chance you will run into a bug that makes CoD2 open to a blank screen and not load further but that's mostly due to a graphical bug and the game just needs rebooting
