I went to dental school for a couple of years but got bored and ended up with a Pol science/Economy  degree.  I, however, have worked in the courier/freight industry most of my life. I started at UPS, then I left and opened my own trucking business in 2004. I sold everything in 2009 and have worked ever since as a private contractor for Fedex and other companies servicing a resort area in British Columbia (Sunshine Coast). I spend 3 hours a day on a ferry. I take freight from Vancouver and distribute it to a group of drivers who deliver it. I drive about 250km a day. I come back to Vancouver at night with bags of documents from all the banks in the area, as well as hospital and private labs coolers, legal documents, mail and small parcels that need to be processed here. I work 12 hour days but no complains, its actually fun

I am a sales consultant for a huge software company.  I support 6 technical sales managers and cover state and local government for the Southeast region.  I typically fly 75-125k miles per year, all CONUS; otherwise I am "working" from home.

I'm a NERD!!

I work for Hewlett Packard CDS - Secure Systems Group.

I work on desktops, printers, servers, laptops, network kits and such like on MoD sites in the UK and also a 1 in 3 out of hours roster for major customers such as Tesco on their distribution warehouses and stores which entails going to sites at stupid o'clock to fix things so the store can remain operational - 1 instance last October meant if I didn't fix a server then the whole store would be closed for a day resulting in a massive loss in revenue... 7 hours onsite waiting for parts and Lunky saved the day by bringing the store online at 09:50... The store opened at 10:00 as normal!!!

I first graduated with a degree in Biology, but 4 years of university life did not seem enough so I enrolled in Radiology. After several years of working in the US, I eventually moved back to Western Canada and the City of Calgary.

I worked my way from being a team leader and supervisor to eventually a clinical manager for a private Radilogy firm here in Alberta. After over 20 plus years in this field I have no regrets. I work with an amazing group of staff and techs and my employer gives me the luxury of having as much time off as I wish.

Its never a dull days for me the girls I work with always make it fun.

I'm the most trusted person and also the most controlling perfect bitch at work as I've been told the managers and directors. 9 years of HR and HRD and I'm a HR advisor/ trainer. I moved to canada in 2008 because of defaulter and I now work as a one man HR at a large manufacturing company making plastic pipe fittings and fixtures.  We mostly make electrical fixtures at this location. If you ever want to purchase something for your home renos or contract work I can help you get it cheap, if you want help on your resume or prepare to ace an interview or performance appraisal let me know. Helping people is what I really do and love and I have a pretty good track record for success :)

After working at a traffic sign manufacturing business for 5 years I got my contractors license and started my own business. Fixing and installing metal guardrail on roadways, striping center lines, stenciling STOP, School Xing ect in roadways and striping parking lots. The best money maker was manufacturing street name signs for new housing developments as many times the developer would forget to order the street name signs.

With millions of dollars worth of new homes that buyers cant move in to unless the streets are properly signed the developer would call and ask "how soon can you get these signs made" and rarely worried about how much they would cost $$$.

Since I had a shop behind my home I was able to have the signs ready the next day and send a crew out to install them. our reputation for delivering on short notice was impressive.

This went on for almost 25 years until 2008 - 2009 when the housing market in California crashed.

I woke up one morning and looked out the window and noticed that the air was brown, went outside and found my truck had been broken into . .that was the last straw.

I had bought a place in Montana years ago and I decided to move to where the air is clean and I can leave the keys in my truck with no worries, no sales tax and guns are welcome.

BUT the question was "What I do for work"

NOTHING!

I help my buddy on his ranch when I want to, go fishing almost everyday.

After 25 years of busting ass   :whip:  I deserve . . . . .  .NOTHING!

What an Idiot I am!

I own my own plumbing and heating business..inheritted it from my Father..he had a heart attack and had to retire...have my gf2 licence and enjoy dealing with the pubic and mostly new constructions...have four people working for me and pretty much make my own hours..which are harder to do than you think...i have had a really great winter business wise and am looking forward to having a medium summer with some time off...planning to go to the U.K with my Aunt this spring hopefully for a bit of a well needed vacation ...but other than that i have a few projects lined up allready for summer,a lot of new houses going up constantly and will probably get most of those as well....existing customers from my Father keep me going in the summer months usually and i try to give seniors deals on pricing...but as most of you know owning your own business is a tough go sometimes...but i can hack it out.

I'm an airline pilot. I fly 757 and 767's.

The first pic was taken after landing in Guatemala City. The second one is the cockpit. Sorry it's blurry it was actually an accidental photo but I decided to keep it.

I'm also working for an airline ( Air France) but not as a pilot i'm taking care of 'weight and balance' of the plane so guys like codpiece have almost nothing to do

apart from taking a nap or reading newspapers... :harhar:

I no longer do what I used to do but when I did what I did I ate a lot of doughnuts.

My favourites were those with apple or apricot inside them.  They were lovely doughnuts.

When I stopped doing what I did before, I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes so I couldn't have

any more doughnuts which is a shame as I did enjoy the doughnuts, especially the apple and

apricot ones.

After 30 years of doing what I did before, I had to think about what I wanted to do without doughnuts.

Health was obviously more of an issue so I chose to work for Star Fleet as they have sick bays on their starships.

I quite liked tinkering with networks and that sort of thing and the idea of protecting us from Klingons also

appealed so I decided I would frustrate all phishers and those who'd Google me and try to work out the name

of my first pet by describing my occupation as "systems engineer".  In reality, the most complex thing I engineer

these days is a toasted bacon and egg sandwich - not half as good as the doughnuts but it has no sugar in it.

I do like beer...a lot...but I don't drink professionally.  I like to think that, even if I cannot save the planet from

Klingons, I can at least recycle lots of tin and glass.  The taste of beer is nice too, though maybe not as nice as

doughnuts (especially the apple and apricot ones - they were great).

I would like to point out that none of my passwords are based on Star Trek and money/personal wealth is irrelevant

in the 24th century anyway.
