Don't tell me you did it manually by tapping 1 2 1.There's no way anyone is fast enough to do it manually and not fuck up and switch to pistol occasionally.You have to hit 1 2 1 keys in .02-.08ms or it will switch to pistol.I have a few demos of you doing reload cancel and of you trying to do it manually and fucking it up after i kicked you for doing it the other day. It's all about squeezing the highest fps one can out of their system, and increasing hit registration to feel more fluid. It's really that simple. It's not some magic godmode. A whole lot of people already tweak their fps to achieve 125 or 250. Interestingly enough, I'm the one defending them when in relativity my rig could handle 125 on any map and 250 on the majority without "more" tweaks to reduce graphics quality.The only "promod" tweak that might be considered a "huge advantage" is lodscale above 2, and fps above 250. It's not physically possible to achieve that fps through game menus. my rig could handle 125 on any map and 250 on the majority without "more" tweaks to reduce graphics quality. You may have had fun but the other 20+ players in the server are sick of it. Complaints are non stop about it. So again, switch your configs to default and play fairly like most do and this will all go away. Your getting pissed off cause were arguing your configs, what about the rest of the players that CANT have fun anymore because of you slaughtering them because of a modified game.. When you first started playing our mod you played like most and all of a sudden one day you play what i call outrageous and one of the top players in the game ALWAYS on EVERY map .And you have the nerve to say that tweaking configs dont effect the game play, only fps? wow give your head a shake.. You are NOT playing the game fair.. I can rattle off probably a dozen players that have always been on top and amazing players and all of a sudden one day you start blowing there scores out of the water.. Ah hell im just gonna throw the question out there. Im not accusing you of hacking, im just saying you have now tweaked your configs. This we know for sure. So hears the question..... If manipulating your configs dont effect your game play (according to you) please explain how you SUDDENLY became a pro player sometimes more than doubling our top players scores on the server in what was seemingly an overnight change of play? And i know for certain im not the only one wondering this. Ive been playing cod4 since its release. I used to play in TWL all the time and i dont play anywhere near like you. I dont think i have ever broke 60 kills in a single game and i have a pretty top of the line pc and my configs are untweaked. P.S. It has the same minmax damage, falloff, range, etc as the standard grenade launcher attachment. Different reload obviously. Now if you want to say the type of weapon itself is overpowered, including the attachment in standard cod4, then everyone has the right to their opinion. If it really bothers you get a flak jacket. We have been there and done this over and over. Also keep in mind many of those setting are also handled by the server configs and if the server is set to pure those player setting will be ignored. Did you finally get rid of it? Or did you edit your binds before you posted? You can cancel a reload by sprinting Do you actually know the significance of the "unbind all" bit? I don't, but I assume it had something to do with copying the config from online and it resetting all your keybinds to the ones in the config. The unbindall command is part of the game engine. Every time you launch iw3mp.exe, it executes all commands in the config_mp.cfg file. Basically the same thing as typing exec "file" in the console. I am assuming it was old legacy code from quake binds getting corrupted on game exit to ensure your game is using the proper binds that you had set. I won't name names, but one person until a week ago didn't know they could set a higher game resolution to make the game look better The only thing I would say isn't really fair are script binds and scroll wheel shooting that allow weapons to fire faster than they realistically should be. I know some mods have restricted how fast a single fire gun like the G13 and pistols can fire. Maybe that could be done with the weapons here that are supposed to be like that. I didn't even have any issue with the default console settings until after the 146 version of FT came out, that's when I made changes like maxpackets and snaps to fix a lot of the missing normal shots. Say make it so pistols can fire no more than 6 times per second. But that would affect the ability to pull the trigger 2-3 times quickly if you are in the middle of a fight. So do you change something because a few people take advantage of it. Or do you kick them when admins see it? And then ban them if they dont learn the error of their ways? For others, it's winning. We've had this discussion in various forms for many years because we have players with large differences in skillsets, and objective. Over those years we've found happy mediums at times on various servers where the usually really good guys usually win the map, but where, every now and then, they'll have an off day or they'll be drunk, and we can get a shot at it. I can tell you that in the early days of XI at least one player I remember was banned because he simply was too good; he owned every map every time he played. The thinking was that the enjoyment of the clan members was paramount - their server after all - and that members who knew they didn't have a snowball's chance left when member X came in. Something had to be done. That's still the case, to an extent. It takes fun out of the game for most of us when someone is beyond just being good, but so damned good that you just don't want to play against him. I know some folks make it a point to play at certain times of the day because of it. So where are we with this? Well, we're a clan - first and foremost. That means to me that having been accepted by a group of folks to walk among them, that you have a responsibility to them. You should always treat your fellow clansmen with respect of course and you should engage them and share a "how do" and "how's it going," and not just be a bump on a log in game. But I'd suggest it also means that if you're one of the best of the best, that every now and then, you turn it back a notch or two for the good of the clan. Yah, winning's cool. But is winning every friggin map cool? It wouldn't be to me. Just a suggestion here but if you're so competitive, so driven in the game that you just can't help but get every kill and kick every ass till it bleeds, then maybe you need to find some servers where that's the way everybody plays. I'm not saying don't play with us. And I'm not saying leave us. What I'm saying is that when you feel like you need to be in beast mode, why not take it where others play like that and give yourself some good competition. And after it's out of your system, come back to us losers - maybe with one eye shut or one hand behind your back.
