Title says it all, even with armor piercing I just needed multiple hits every kill. Wasn't the server HC setting once? Did we purposfully step off that?

30 health. Dont assume rounds always do 30+ damage since there are many factors at play. They dont. Besides HC is boring. If it were up to me I would make it so to kill you would need to land multiple shots on the torso or one to the head. But its not. Nothing is stupider than dying because you got shot in the foot. Its worse than being sprayed behind a wall.

I was reading up on "Hits" It sounded like it went according to weapon. ie G3 two shots to the body and one shot to head. I get on with G3 and that's what i've experienced . correct me if i'm wrong.

How many headshots can it take? I have asked the person who either eventually was killed by me or ended up killing me, if they were wearing body armor, they weren't. I think when people defrost they earn body armor. Can you please check?

I know that's built in for defrosting but afaik its off. I will check. However its possible that person could have spawn armor, which I think is 50, and death streak armor. Which adds up. Players that tend to die alot... like me... tend to get the spawn armor. As for how much 1 armor = 1 health. Not including stopping power. So 30 health + 50 armor  (80 points) will require two shots assuming primary weapon standard rounds (no suppressor penalties) and standard distances. In which case two rounds will do less than 80 damage.

 

Probably the 100th time I have said it but its meant to be a middle ground between total HC and SC especially with juggy. Its there for those that want it or are having a really bad day and need little bit of temporary extra protection for one or two rounds and thats it. At the cost of some pretty useful perks.

i take 1 shot from some coming out of spawn protection,,im dead,,,on either cod4 server....I do notice on the cod5 ft server the hits are dead on,,i like that better

Can you make the game HC only, remove the pussy core (PC), excuse me, something in between HC & SC. I know HC is stupid, but we love stupid, its food for our ego.

Body armor is wayyyy too powerful. I was just playing with the SAW along with armor piercing, and double shot...I shot a guy running away from me directly in the back...I counted 4 hit markers...and he was able to jump in the air turn around and one shot kill me. I don't care what perks he has...If I can shot someone square in the back at close range...and clearly get 4 hit markers...that fucker should not be able to turn around and kill me. This armor makes the element of surprise totally irrelevant. You get the drop on someone that has chosen the right perk combo and you literally have no way to kill them unless you shoot them in the back directly with a tube.

If we want to play sc, we will go to ft1 server. This server has always been a hc server so just leave it at that. And take the fkn tubes out!

So how is it not countering the armor when I choose armor piercing as well as double shot...I am putting twice as many rounds that are supposed to be armor piercing into a guy as someone that does not use those perks. Are you telling me that someone that doesn't use those perks can shoot the same player I had yesterday in the back and get 8 hit markers and not result in a kill? (Honest question...I have never played without these two perks).

 

I didn't say I would expect a 1 shot kill...I had FOUR hit markers...so it was FOUR hits...not one...and the guy was still able to turn around and ONE shot kill me because I was not wearing armor. Compare those two situations....how is it fair that someone NOT wearing armor is subject to being ONE shot killed?

Armor piercing works against body armor. So I dont know what you saw unless health itself was very high for some reason. But I dont think there is anything that raises it here beyond the max of 30. Maybe a conflict. If you remember PM me with your loadout at the time for weapons and perks etc so we can work through it and see if anything is amis.

This is the main reason I rarely play cod anymore. I love the m2 ftag mod, but our server is so biased against run and gun players.

If you have a lightweight weapon you're better off trying to suck off an enemy to death rather than shoot them.

Biased against? I suppose that is relative. IMO the standard HC game is the other way. Biased in favor of r&g. But you dont want to take away things in the name of 'balance'. That would be punitive. You want to give more options others can choose in place of some other pretty valuable specialties. Will they choose something that might protect them from a couple of rounds and then its gone? Or will they choose stealth that lasts until they die? Maybe they prefer some protection against explosives that also lasts. Especially in a tubegasm fest.

 

edit: Forgot to add, in my view a punitive measure is a crouch server. It doesnt bother with options. It simply sets a rule that says you cant play the way you want to.
