New version of the MW2 1.47 mod needs testing

just want to back up a bit and say thank you to sammy for all his work. i understand how hard you worked ALONE ON THIS . i just didnt want the old version to go bye bye, i like it. wasnt trying to dump on the new mod ,,,, i just have no interest in playing it '

I honestly despair. Yes wanting to have an accurate gun makes me a hacker. You are using some seriously twisted logic.

It looks like about 75% or so of the server were using 333 as I had to help an absolute ton of people to change it back, all regulars. I guess the entire F4H clan are also a bunch of hackers seeing as their server is set to that.

But ok, let's have nerfed guns because otherwise we are hackers at heart. I don't think there is much more to say, we clearly have vastly different opnions on this.  

Changing a formula that has worked for years and gotten a server into the top 10 is risky business, especially in a dying game. Potentially alienating even a small percentage of the core user base which is probably now irreplaceable is asinine. 

Nothing I say is going to convince you though. You have your opinion and I have mine. That is fine, it's all good.

@Sammy Could you please look at the accuracy of the .44 mag revolver? I have @ANGU5 and @Tron as witnesses. I could not hit someone who was not moving today on the map Strike. I mentioned in an earlier post as well that I missed five consecutive shots on an afk player from their spawn house.

Good greif, this is JUST A GAME!  If you do not like the new mod that Sammy has so generously created for us you are free to play the old mod, it is still there.  There is absolutely no need to be attacking each other over this.

Sure I will check it this evening.

Oh and I do play. But not always this server and under an assumed name so I dont have to deal with the bullshit and can concentrate on simply enjoying the game. And as always keeping an eye out for anything that at first glance might seem off. After checking through things yes the trophy ammo was too high. Set to 3 rounds as the default.... which is the amount set in MW2019.

Actually there are more nukes because the 4 kill streak package is actually an Attack Package not the regular 4 kill streak Care Package. The attack packages have a much higher chance to get AC130s, Nukes and Duke Nukems than the regular Care Package.  Don't know if the 8 kill streak Attack Package was was intended to be put in place of the 4 kill streak Care package but that's definitely what is going on.

 

@Sammy the EMP Mine keeps going off every 5 seconds if I stand near one. Aren't they supposed to go off 1 time unless the person that put it down resets it?

You can hit someone but you have to aim 6 foot in front of a moving target. Bullet speed seems to be alot slower on it than it used to be.  I think the Sniper rifles are the same way. I couldn't hit a single moving target with any of the sniper rifles.  Maybe I just suck at sniping lol.

Bullet speed is instantaneous unless its a projectile/rocket. Meaning no A to B travel time or "speed". Nor any kind of object in space. There is the start point (the gun barrel), and a bullet trace forward to see what is hit first. Common method in many games.

I'm like you GG, I am horrified at some of the comments, it is fairly obvious with some that this is not just a game, it appears to be the reason they have been put on this planet. The original version is still there to play, so why aren't they playing there?, the new version is very well populated, and a lot of times full, proof it is liked by most, amazing, quite amazing the passions roused. Obviously to some it is NOT ' just a game'? it is their life, sad.

One of the original reasons was to level the playing field, and you have done a great job Sammy, even an old fart like me is killing people he struggled to kill before, i.e. it works. don't lose heart.

So we go from an insanely overpowered weapon (Sammy's footage, corroborated by the fact that almost everybody was using it), to a still excellent weapon, that makes it maybe slightly harder to snipe with - although it still isn't a problem to kill from a good distance, as shown in your own footage, and such a little sway has no effect whatsoever on close combat. If you like playing an arcade game there is a COD4 for the phone platforms.  This weapon is known to have a defect, was overused, and should have been replaced, NEXT!

I really just think you're grasping at straws now, you're looking at bullet spread a wall when the reality is that almost all of those shots would have hit and killed another player anyway. So there's no problem.

I know I have had some complaints, but the mod is a work in progress and I'd like to thank @Sammy for volunteering his time. I realized this morning that Sammy could just say fuck it and leave the server as it is. With all the abuse he has received, he has every right to.
